I'm a Yankees fan and don't think the Saux should be singled out. Every single team in baseball has had players that used. Someone needs to release the full list and get this over with already, otherwise it will drag on forever.

Let me see.... MLB power hitters that were not on the Juice before the stringent testing.... That would be ZERO.....

Don't be so sure just yet... Even though I suspected Ortiz 2 years ago when his numbers started dropping, I did not want to believe it until it was documented.... Now I'm trying to rationalize to my little league son how his favorite hitter cheated like many of the others of his time....

Bottom Line: NO REGULATION = MANIPULATION

- The 2003 tests were non-binding, nothing was banned til 2004

- several players refused the so called 'anonymous' test.

Sensationalism reporting if I ever saw it. And I would say the same even if it were NYY.

* Boston Red Sox, World Series champion in 04, 07.

Yawn. No less than 9 Yankees from their last World Series team (2000)
were on the Mitchell Report list. Those are just the ones that were
caught, I'm sure there were more.

Members of the 2000 New York Yankees mentioned in the Mitchell Report or known to have failed drug tests for HGH or steroids:

  • David Justice
  • Jose Canseco
  • Andy Pettitte
  • Roger Clemens
  • Chuck Knoblach
  • Wilson Delgado
  • Jason Grimsley
  • Glenallen Hill
  • Mike Stanton
  • Danny Neagle
Throw in Shane Spencer = DUI.
Jim Leyritz = Amphetamines, DUI, and homocide.
Luis Polonia = sex with a minor
Dwight Gooden = DUI, assualt, drove away from cops, helped start the Tampa riots, cocaine, etc.
Jeff Nelson = Tries to auction his elbow bone chips on Ebay.
Jason Grimsley = Special Mention: The Bat Burglar. made ESPN.com's "Biggest Cheaters in Baseball" list at number 4. Google it. In addition to the human growth hormones, amphetamines and steroids.

Let's just take those 3 Off the List, they gave NO HELP at all in the Yankees winning the World Series. @)

New York Yankees 1 1 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 3 8 0
New York Mets 0 0 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 6 1

PITCHERS: NYY - Neagle (starting pitcher), Cone (5), Nelson (6), Stanton (7), Rivera (8)
NYM - Jones, Rusch (6), Franco (8), Benitez (9)

WP - Jeff Nelson
LP - Bobby Jones
SAVE - Mariano Rivera

HOME RUNS: NYY - Jeter
NYM - Piazza

Glenallen Hill played in 3 games in that series for the Yankees and Wilson Delgado played in 31 regular season games for the Yanks in 2000 before being traded to KC. He helped them win the AL East and make the playoffs so they could win the WS to a small extent therefore.

Both rotations earned their paychecks in Game 4 as a combined nine pitchers went at it on the mound. The night had a promising start and finish for the Yankees, who set the pace with Derek Jeter's homer on the first pitch and ended it with two scoreless innings by Rivera. Scott Brosius made it 2-0 with a sacrifice fly that drove home Paul O'Neill in the second and Jeter led off the third with a triple to right-centerfield and came home on Luis Sojo's groundout. When the Mets Mike Piazza came up again (with two on and no outs in the fifth) Torre lifted the left-handed Denny Neagle in favor of the right-handed David Cone. The surprising move proved brilliant as the Yankees ace forced the All-Star catcher to pop-out. The American League champs bullpen continued to shine while holding the Mets quiet for 4 1/3 innings. The result was 3-2 decision that pushed the Nationals to within nine innings of elimination.

It is better to win the world series with players using PEDs (Sox) than it is to not win the world series with players using PEDs (Yanks). Everyone was using them so you might as well win the world series while you are it.

Nothing will take away the Red Sox championship in 2004. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. Going to that parade and the fact it fell on my birthday was just pure euphoria. And I am very grateful to have witnessed it all. Especially after 2003, when I didnt even want to take a shower or pick up the phone or even leave my pad for 3 days because I was so depressed.

A lot of people died just wishing they could see the Sox win it all as their last wish.

I am not going to let some sketchy report with 6 year old news taint one of my best life memorys.

I'm kinda hoping they just make roids legal in baseball, then maybe I would wanna watch a game. Ever since Sox won it all in '04 my interest in the game has gone way down....I think some of it has to do with that but also that the game is just too damn slow.

Can't imagine anyone could think baseball is more enjoyable to watch than hoops, football, boxing or MMA...

It's sad. But I'm kind of in the same boat. I still enjoy watching, but the same level of passion that I had back then is tough to achieve. '04 was the long awaited climax, the good cry you needed to have.

'05 I hardly watched or paid attention to anything, I think I was still numb from '04.
