iPad:
Easy to buy. All you pick is screen size and storage size
Runs iOS. That may or may not matter to you depending on what you want to do with it.
Expensive (relative to others)
Excellent battery

Android:
More involved buying process. Many sizes, many storage sizes, many specs. (dont cheap out you will regret it)
Runs android. More flexible in what you can do (free or paid)
Moderate price (can get super cheaper or iPad prices)
Good Battery

Windows:
Is literally a PC in tablet form
On the expensive side (but like android there is super cheap out there and you will regret it)
Less apps to choose from but you may not care
Good Battery

All of the above:
- Can use a keyboard and stylus
- Can get a case for
- Can be Wi-Fi only or can be cellular (monthly service like a cell phone but cheaper) depending on what model you buy
- Can be purchased second hand at a cell phone repair store, ebay, CL, etc to save some $ if you dont need the newest model.

Dont get a 2 in 1 unless you specifically know what it is, or at least go to a store and use, pickup, handle one. Battery wont be nearly as good as a true tablet

Very Nice summary. The 2 in 1 is likely out as I only will be using it limited . Leaning towards the Ipad to get a feel. Won't be for a couple of weeks or so.

Best Buy has the newest iPad on sale for $249. It’s a 32GB, WiFi only. Good deal IMO.

Go with an Ipad.

Think it would be perfect for what you're looking for use wise.
