I want to add that Tulsa was only 2-4 ATS as road chalk last year. Tulane actually started the season out 3-0 ATS last season before injuries started doing them in.

They've done pretty well under the dome against Tulsa (granted, with an extremely small sample size). If a new quarterback has to make his first start on the road, I'm not sure the setting could be any better than against Tulane. Nice conditions in the dome and a passive crowd.

Tulsa is 4-0 ATS spread against Tulane since 1992
Tulsa is 3-1 on the under against Tulane since 1992

Tulsa has 8 returning starters just on Defense alone and 3 on Offense. Yes Tulsa's O-line is young but look at Tulane D'line it is even less expierenced. Tulsa will for sure run over them and probobly pass on them quite effectively.

Uh, meant to say that Tulsa has done well under the dome against Tulane. Not the other way around.

Gun to my head I would probably take Tulsa here. I just have a rule where I don't take new QB's going on the road for the first time trying to cover as DD favorites. It doesn't mean they won't do it. But I like to play the odds. AA..This is the kind of stuff that is making these teams harder to figure out than the beginning of last season. Seems like about every other team has some possible early weaknesses that make these plays a little more iffy. And the conference races look much more wide open to me than last season.

You're right on about that. The Big East especially is a mystery to me right now. I doubt pretty seriously I'll make a play either for or against any of their teams until I've seen them a bit. I don't feel like I have a handle on anyone there.

Sorry, Paytheman. The wording of your previous post about the game was a little unclear. Sounded like you were talking about holding off until tomorrow to bet Tulsa/Tulane.
