I have almost 250 members, TheRX has tons more.

Again, I assure you there are more than 5 guys who hit better than 60% on this forum. Of course just like you, it's only a guess.

Good thread and some good arguments. To each their own and hopefully we can share some winners with each other. There is no need for the personal name calling on any count. Other than, good discussion.

Thanks

SS, Fish said '7' is about a 5% proposition and I agree. '8' is nowhere near as good, lucky to be 2%, probably less. I wouldn't pay 15 pts for sides on '7' on '8'. Lok for positive odds on +7.5 if you can find it to go with the -7-110.

As a general rule of thumb in the NBA a two point spread to have an edge, assuming that the lay each way is -110. You can probably shade that to a point and a half if the total money spread is 15 cents (example: -107 each way or -110 and -105). and also possibly on sides where the bottom number ranges from from -1.5 to -5 (example: -1.5 / +3). On totals, I'd want a two and a half point spread at -110, possibly two points on low totals or on a 15 cent money lay (example -110 -105).

Remember that these are just rules of thumb and my own opinion.

The Old Ballgame,

Excellent post, but have you ever calculated what your expected winnings are on a 2 point
-110 middle based on turnover?
