Coach Mike Tomlin deemed Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) "questionable" for Monday night's game versus the Chiefs.

Beat writer Gerry Dulac speculated to NFL Network Monday that Mendenhall would be held out one more week with Jonathan Dwyer (quad) returning. Mendenhall will get work in practice this week, but he won't be a fantasy option.

Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles') was limited in Steelers practice Friday.

Mendenhall has been limited in practice all this week. The Steelers will assign him an official status tag on Saturday, because they have a Monday nighter this week against the Chiefs. We do not expect Mendenhall to play.

Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) is listed as doubtful for Monday night's game against the Chiefs.

Isaac Redman will start the game, and if Redman doesn't show an early "hot hand," the Steelers will turn to Jonathan Dwyer. Mendenhall is believed to be targeting a Week 11 return. Fantasy owners should hang tight to him. Mendenhall is expected to return as the Steelers' starting running back when healthy.

Coach Mike Tomlin deemed Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) questionable for Week 11.

It's the exact same word Tomlin used one week ago to describe Mendenhall's Week 10 outlook. We won't have a real read on his status until the Steelers return to practice. We do know that if cleared, Mendenhall will start and get the first crack at a "hot hand." He's well worth owning in all fantasy formats. Isaac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer came crashing back to earth on Monday night.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) is expected to return for Week 11.

Coach Mike Tomlin has deemed Mendenhall "questionable," but it sounds like he'll return from his four-game absence, barring a setback. We'd expect a three-man rotation with Isaac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer, however, severely capping Mendenhall's fantasy upside. It's a situation to avoid if possible, though Dwyer should be the best bet.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed that Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles, probable) will get the start on Sunday night versus the Ravens.

"Mendenhall is going to start. He's healthy, and so we're going to do that, but you're going to see all backs," said Tomlin. This has been the thinking all week, but it's looking like a shaky fantasy situation. Mendenhall will handle early downs with Jonathan Dwyer being the change-of-pace back, and Isaac Redman will play on third down. Mendenhall is the lone back in Pittsburgh we trust as a flex play.

Rashard Mendenhall has been demoted to No. 3 running back behind Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman.

Mendenhall had been listed as the first-string tailback all season. The change on the official depth chart of both Mendenhall and Mike Wallace suggests coach Mike Tomlin may be trying to light a fire under his veterans after an eight-turnover game at Cleveland. Mendenhall was responsible for two of them. He can be dropped in 12- and 14-team leagues.
