There is an interesting situation tonight that begs my attention. Miami Hurricanes against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Right off the bat the line stinks to me. ND is a 3pt favorite to ranked 7 Miami. This tells us a few things. ND are to be taken seriously, especially in their home court. Time and time again this ND team has proven itself. Back in early February, ND was a 5 pt dog to Miami and lost by 9 on the road. After that, they produced two notable wins vs UNC and UL. I suspect the reason they lost to FSU in their previous game was because they were looking ahead at tonight's game, vs Miami. They will be prepared tonight and certainly seeking revenge.

Now let's talk about Miami. The previous two games have shown them to be playing spectacular. They've beaten Virginia and Louisville. Here is a perfect opportunity for a let down. They're on the road going up against a scrappy team and then to VT after. Something tells me they're happy where they are after those two big wins. I know they'll want to end the season on a good note but I fear they're too tired and relaxed.

Dang. I couldn't have been more wrong. I just don't get why ND was favorites vs this hotime Miami team. I guess I walked right into the trap.

We have a ranked Texas team (19-11) on the road against OSU (12-18). Texas just suffered a beating from ranked number 1 Kansas at home. They were outplayed and outclassed. But lets not forget that this is the same Texas team that handed a loss to ranked number 3 Oklahoma about a week ago. This tells us a few things, most importantly that this team can ball.. albeit streaky at times, they can run. Texas is not great on the road; they play much better at home.

The line is giving Texas a lot of credit and I'm going to buy into that. Why? Because let's look at OSU's recent track record. In their last 9 games, they've managed to lose 8 of them. The one victory was against Kansas State in a hard fought battle that ended in OT. They are currently on a 5 game losing streak and the margin at which they've lost by is relatively large. If you're giving me 4 points with this OSU team at home, I'm going to tell you that that is not enough. Not against this Texas team. If I'm right, and Texas shows up and plays conservatively, they should easily cruise to a victory. I'm willing to wager that they'll cover the 4 points.

Texas -4 for 3 units
