Jannkovic +120 over Safina

Fast conditions wont expose Jelenas 1st serve as much as there last meeting. I think JJ is bringing it her for her country more so than Dinara, who is headquartered in Spain.

I like Na tonight /early morning +350 to beat Venus...

:cripwalk: chart me baby!

BEIJING (AP)—Venus Williams is the latest upset victim in Olympic tennis, losing to Li Na of China in the quarterfinals.
Williams, who won gold medals in singles and doubles at the 2000 Games, was beaten 7-5, 7-5. She followed to the sideline her sister Serena and top-seeded Roger Federer, who both lost earlier Thursday.
A wayward forehand plagued Williams, and she sent one long to lose serve and fall behind 6-5 in the second set. The reigning Wimbledon champion had three more forehand errors in the final game, and when Li hit a service winner on match point, the crowd responded with the biggest roar of the tournament.
Williams remained in the doubles competition and was to play with her sister in the quarterfinals later Thursday.

Savant WON the Aussie +130 over China.

Thursday, 14 August 2008

Australia won their first match at the Beijing 2008 Olympic softball competition with a 3-1 victory over host nation China.
The victory was set up early thanks largely to Simmone Morrow, who hit two home runs for the match, in both the first and second innings. Her first home run was scored from the very first at bat of the match. She followed this up in the second innings with a repeat performance, this time with Jodie Bowering on base to give Australia a 3-0 lead.
China were able to claw a run back in the bottom of the third inning, but Australian pitcher Tanya Harding kept their hitters at bay for the most part early on, before being replaced by Melanie Roche at the top of the fourth innings. Roche allowed only one hit in the four innings she pitched.
Australia now has a 1-2 record after three matches, and will be looking for their second win when they confront Chinese Taipei tomorrow.
All eight teams in the Beijing 2008 Olympic softball competition play a single round robin, with the top four teams at the end of the round robin going through to the finals.
