Someone should bring up those anti sec/anti usc threads from last year and years past,I remember how comical the anti sec threads were last year about how bad LSU was going to be killed by ohio state.

Every year we go through this same discussion and year after year the SEC and USC dominates.

LSU,Oklahoma,USC sometime Texas and usually Florida.Year after year after year its the same teams .You have to go back to the mid 90s and the era of nebraska and michigan to find domething different than the sec and usc.

OSU just won a title what? Four or five years ago? Miami was a fucking powerhouse in early 2000s, as was Florida St.

LSU has not been good for long. OU had turned into a joke before Stoops went there. USC was a joke before Carroll.

Good teams ebb and flow. OSU is going to be a monster in 2 years with Pryor as a junior.

FWIW, I think Big XII is the conference to beat this year, particularly the Big XII South. Four very good teams in that division....better than either SEC division.

Those are some good points,I should have mentioned big 12.Two of the teams I mentioned were in the big 12.My main point was alot of posts criticizing usc or the sec are just kind of monotonous and seems to have been the norm for the years I have been registered here,Ncaa football seems to be moving towards a sort of dominance with a few teams and a few conferences dominating year in and year out.

I hope we will see some change and someone come out of the blue, like an ecu or a Cinderella to stir things up but I have my doubts. You can almost see the same few teams over the next few years dominating with the kind of recruiting these schools get.

There is not a team in the Pac 1 not named USC that would finish in the top 12 (and that might be generous) if you lumped the SEC and Big 12 into one superconference

Interesting argument....let's see......

Definitely better than all non-USC Pac-10 teams:
Florida
Georgia
LSU
Auburn
Oklahoma
Texas Tech
Texas
Missouri

Argumentally better than all non-USC Pac-10 teams:
Alabama
Mississippi
Okie State
Nebraska
Kansas

That's a valid argument. I put Alabama in the maybe argument because they are not a Top-10 team and will be exposed shortly.

Is this where I say I told you so? Not sure why people were jumping the gun so quick calling USC "easily" the best when they had not played anyone.

USC is by far the best team in the country. They dismantled a top 5 team last night. Don't even try to say it's because OSU has no talent and was overrated, because they are absolutely loaded at every position but QB. USC is just flat out nasty. Enough of the SEC. USC would win that conference almost every single year. I don't give a shit about who's the best conference. That means absolutely nothing. Tell me who the best TEAM is, and that is Southern California, and it isn't even close.

Rail will probably come on here and say USC is #1, should remain #1, and this game was not an upset because of homefield and strength of Pac 10. His number was Ore St -6 and he would have pushed.

2 week prepare, hungry for win, lindsay gets off.

UCLA +7

Fresno not going to out physical, Brandstadter as bad as Craft is. Fresno has nothing offensively and overrated defense. Toledo lit them up.

USC -23.5

Pete will cover this, he doesnt take knees, and there 7 runningbacks all want touchdowns vs a swiss cheese defense.
