Oklahoma and Texas were primed to come to the Pac 12 . That is where the fuck ups started when those teams were talking to the Pac 12 represenitives . Oklahoma will be a 2nd rate program in the SEC.

actually it's our conference now, and you scrub schools are just 2nd rate members.

The strength of the this new conference is now on the West Coast.. sorry for that , I know it sucks for you all

Big Ten adding teams like Maryland, Rutgers , and Nebraska were not exactly great moves made by the hierarchy.

Now it gets worse for them.. You add 4 West Coast powers.. I can't imagine those scrub schools are happy about this..

At least before they had a chance to get 6 wins and a bowl game.

SO baseball, cross country, volleyball, soccer, swimming, track, all of that... will travel from California/Oregon/Washington and back to play Rutgers, Maryland, et al.

Will parents be able to drive to games to see their kids play college sports?

Nebraska was a natural fit for the Big10 ( Iowa Rivalry )
Maryland brings in an Atlantic Coast region fan base

If the Pac 12 was smart, they'd focus on basketball and not football.

Go into the WCC and get Gonzaga, St Mary's and San Francisco Go into the WCC and get UCSB Long Beach St. and CS Fullerton

You'd create new regional rivalries and keep in tact a Washington, Oregon, California land base.

It won't do much for football but you keep the 4 teams for football and have them play more of an independent schedule while facing one another. Book those Mountain West schools and Big Sky games. It might not be glamourous but it keeps the league alive.

I agree Redeye. I was 100% behind OU going to the Pac. Of course Texas and their stoopid Longhorn channel destroyed those dreams. The Pac was a much better fit for OU than the SEC. Plus I would much rather be flying out to California for games than Alabama. And geograhically OU was never going to compete against Bama, UGA etc. for the top recruits. So most of the games are pretty much decided before the season even starts.
