Not a big R&B fan but I do love the Ladies, Jill Scott, Macy Gray, Erykah Badu, Ms. Hill. Mary J, when she guests on some hip-hop track.
I'll throw on some D'Angelo, John Legend or Musiq Soulchild when the mood strikes.

What's Neo Soul all about?

Actually you already know about some of the big Neo artists except for Mary. Basically its a lazy sub-gernre fuzing the old school with the new R and B. I thin k Toni, Tony, Tone was the 1st group/artist to be known for this new style.

What's Neo Soul all about?

Neo Soul is like R & B except it's more "organic" supposedly without the glitz and glamour, deeper lyrics and the sort. Many of the ladies you named would be considered Neo-Soul: Jill Scott, Erykah Badu and the sort. Maybe somebody else can give you a better explanation but that's just a summary.

No those are good, plus Wikipedia explains a lot to, So yeah I dig the neo-soul sound. Have you guys heard Cody Chesnutt, first heard him guesting on the Roots Phrenology album.
