Sweden Superettan
5* Landskrona BoIS @ 2.01 over Assyriska Foren
Very interesting match ahead of us in Sweden Superettan today where the 4-th placed Landskrona takes on 5-th place Assyriska. Both teams are separated by only 5 points but with a win from the home side they can overtake Sundsvall for the 3-rd place and will be only a point short from Syrianska FC and 3 from 1st Norrköping 3 round until the end. Talking about Norrköping it must be said that in the last round Landskrona defeated them away with convincing 0-3. The interesting thing here is that in the 1st half Landskrona had to make substitutions because 2 of their important players - Midfielder Joakim Persson and especially forward Fredrik Karlsson who leads the team with 11 goals had to leave because of injuries. Karlsson was the 2nd one leaving just minute after his team took a 0-1 lead with goal of Fredrik Olsson. But they didn't paniced and evn with that absences they took care of the best team in Superettan this season and scored 2 more for the victory including another one by Olsson and by Bradley Raleni who has now scored in 3 consecutive matches. Lanscrona have won now 4 in a row including a win away against very hard opponent in face of Sundsvall away and they hit their stride just when it mostly matters. The above mantioned Joakim Persson and Fredrik Karlsson will miss this game, but all other players are available for this clash.
The home side have excellent record as hosts as well standing at 9-2-2 with great defence allowing only 8 goals so far. Assyriska on other hand has the same record at home and it can be described as a host kind of squad as it has much difficulties when they play on foreign soil as they record stays at 2-5-6 but they do have good defence as they have allowed only 19 goals in 13 away matches. They have won only 1 of thir last 8 away games and that came against the last and totally out of shape team of Väsby United with 0-3. No injuries are reported to have the guests so i assume they will get on the field the best they can offer.
H2H datin from 10 years back says that in all 13 meetings this teams haven't end in a draw. A slight better is Landskrona with 7-0-6 overall and 4-0-2 at home but last 5 games have all ended in Assyriska wins by not less than 2 goals difference. However, this is not something that Lanscrona Captain Linus Malmqvist care about : ''Talking about revenge and such kind of thing is wrong. We don't look back. We know how to play to make it difficult for Assyrian. I look forward to seeing them tomorrow and we will do everything possible to take three points, "said Linus.
I hope they will have a really good effort in order to be closer for direct promotion for Allsvenskan next season and with the good recent play by Olsson and Bradley Raleni and good defence i think they can overtak their absences and claim an important victory. GL!
The odds are shrinking so i take it right now before even the AH line goes down..
