The RX forums are a simple microcosm of our society today. Each generation brings with it lessons passed on by subsequent generations only skewed by the changes in the world we live in. My parents generation were immigrants who worked extremely hard and sacrificed their lives to provide an education for their children in order so they may lead a better life. My generation then began to share the spoils of what was gathered through the hard work of my parents. So our children grew up with more toys to play with and their world began to revolve around them and not always others. The latest generation has grown up in a highly technical world with much less human interaction and more of a "me" mentality. Instant gratification is expected. You need only look around at the age of many in authority or responsibility today, both public and private and you will notice the distinct difference in age and experience from previous generations. Today, people want things right now, not tomorrow. There is little patience for something that takes time or doesn't work. Much is now disposable. So it is no wonder that we begin to see more taking and less sharing and we see less articulation particularly when things go wrong. Being gratious when winning is easy, but being gratious when losing separates the men from the boys. Their are some wise posters registered as members of the RX, but it takes a good deal of time and effort to publish meaningful information and/or comments on a daily basis. Thus, often times we are left with the bare minimum and selfeshness of those who have yet to fully comprehend this business or life in general. In the face of this, we will lose many quality posters and hopefully the void will be filled with others that bring wisdom and humility. But, as I said at the beginning, the RX is who we are as worldwide people together. So what you see and read here is but a small sample of the world in general. The RX will change in the same manner as society changes.
