You like Newcastle today plus a goal plus money ?

It certainly appears that Liverpool hasn't hit stride yet. However, I never like to go against Liverpool at home. They pissed away a few chances against Chelsea that could have been winners. I prefer to stay away from this one since I never know when the home team will wake up.

Good luck. I hope you get this one.

England - League Cup
Wycombe +1.25 @ -138 over Fulham Pinnacle 5 units
I've been reading where Fulham is not fielding a full crew tonight. They have also taken the Cup lightly in the past having been defeated by Leyton Orient last year. Wycombe is leading League 2 and will want to put on a good show..

GL, I am on the one Swedish games, Palermo and AV with you. Don't have the ability to play the others. Agree about Liverpool too, although they don't tend to score much they are a much better team than Newcastle and have had some bad luck to this point in the season.

Thanks esq.

Do you not have a book that will take bets on the other ones?

Correct. My local uses www.2betdsi.com to administer his accounts. They have a pretty good selection of soccer options, but not like pinny or anything. I have been too lazy to set up a pinny account and send them money.

When you post big ML favorites in Serie A, do you think that -1 at -110 is an acceptable substitute?

Probably personal preference. I split the Palermo play and went all ML on Fiorentina. You are basically risking less for the same payout, which isn't bad, but you leave the 1 goal win on the table. Personally, I like splitting the plays in that scenario.

That's a really good question kirk. It's tough for me to know when to take the ML or the Asian Handicap (spread). If I have indicators that are really strong I'll take the AH like I did with Kolding today in the Danish League. I guess I'm always worrying about the times when a team will just want to settle for the win instead of piling on the point. Taking the -1 would give you a push then. That's not to say it's wrong. I'm just trying to be careful.

Ok thanks. The reason I ask is not because I don't want to lay chalk, it's because Pinnacle is my only sportsbook. I'm going to start funding accounts in other books in the coming months, but in the mean time, I want to make the most of what Pinny is offering.

QL,
You are kicking ass! I anoint you the Ace-Ace of soccer, lol. It's just a shame not more people see these threads or have an interest in making money outside the NFL.

Thanks GD. Let's keep it our little secret. I don't want to be answering a bunch of questions in the middle of the day when I'm trying to pick winners at work.

:puppy:

You should take a look at my weekend results. I was down 12 units on Saturday and 22 units on Sunday. I think I finally figured out what I was doing wrong though. Time will tell.

QL, Wondering, i have heard you mention a system and doing something wrong a few times. How exactly are you choosing your plays? Thanks.

It seems to have a wide variance of results so I'm still fine-tuning it. After doing so poorly over the weekend I looked at what I might be doing wrong and was able to revise things. I would have eliminated a good number of losses had I used my newer method. Some of the losses during the weekend would still have been losses using my newer method. That's going to happen.

In a nutshell, I look at line movements. Previously I had been looking at the number of books that had line movements on a team and that was my downfall. Now I'm looking at average price. Even after revising my method I have been getting lucky in a few matches lately so there still must be a good amount of time until this can be shown to be profitable.

Even looking at average price can be misleading. Some books start out with such terrible numbers that when they bring their numbers in line with other books it skews the change in average price. I like to look at individual books and the individual variance for those books.

I hope I don't sound too cryptic but I don't want to give too much away since this still needs some adjustment. I don't want someone to blindly follow a system that has so much variance.
