Tom Griese from toutbuster.com has Philly -1.5 (+100) for a risk of $1000. This guy is pretty consistent and $1000 (4 units) are his biggest play. He releases only 4 times of plays....$250, $500, $750 and $1000.

Charlie Morton has looked good in his last couple starts. If he can avoid the blowup inning he can easily outpitch a very average Kyle Kendrick. Pittsburgh is a streaky team, no doubt. But they are hitting right now. Sure it's easy to like the Phils tonight with Rollins coming back, but unloading your whole bankroll? That's just irresponsible.

I was joking about passing. BUT, while your thread will not have an impact on the game (unless Kyle Kendrick likes to chill on theRX all day), it does offer insight on the outcome of the game.

If someone were to show me proof that heads lands 20% more often than tails it wouldn't impact the outcome of the coin toss, but it sure as shit would impact my bet.

And, I have never understood why people believe that crap about people jinxing a game...there is no way that a thread on this forum has any bearing on the actual outcome of the game.

If that's the case, just make a post every day about one team being the Lock of the Year....and then bet the opposite team...it's foolproof! lol

In no way do people "jinx" bets. Looking at these threads is like getting the reasoning behind a small portion of whatever line movement is taking place. While I would never bet opposite a game just because it is a "square" play, I still find it to be useful knowledge. I'm not saying that this thread qualifies for such knowledge, but as I said above, I was joking about passing on my play.

I think it's less of a fear of a jinx and more of the not wanting to be on the same side as the square that believes a bet is so foolproof that it warrants throwing down an entire bankroll on it. Isn't it people like that that funded the construction of Vegas?
