This bet was just for fun, and I wouldn't use the word Fandom to describe pulling for the usa to win the world cup, it is much deeper than that. Fandom could be used to describe your favorite mlb or NBA team but I do not believe it describes the pride for your country in the world cup.


I am a fan of the Reds however I will bet against and cheer against them in those cases because I look at that every day baseball betting as a serious business.

When I played Colombia back in April in a group stage parlay several people kept telling me how Radamel Falcao is hurt implying they were just a 1-man team with Falcao, but there is no I in team or Falcao....However, there is an I in Rodriguez.

They shouldn't be.

Brazil seems lost when attacked and when the opposition moves the ball. They are fast at counter attack and have in Neymar a guy that knows how to score goals with his eyes closed. But, the team doesn't seem to be working properly, the defense is not well worked and the midfielders "hide" from carrying the ball, they just seem to want to make the quick transition. Hulk and Fred, worst players I've seen play for Brazil in ages.

Colombia is a very solid team, they have an amazing goal difference and James Rodriguez is on fire, 5 goals in this WC, the two goals to beat Uruguay today. Juan Cuadrado, from Fiorentina and Mario Yepes from Atalanta work defense very efficiently; while Ospino the keeper has been very solid when needed.

I say there's value on Colombia.
