I learned the hard way that a tip in horse racing from an owner or trainer is not as valid as the jockey or driver giving you a tip. Me I want info from the guy on the horses back or in the sulky. In sports I want it straight from the refs mouth. Although back in the day I was a 1-2k player and my buddy was playing D-1 football and as we spoke on a Friday night he did tell me that his QB just found out he had a hairline fracture but was still playing at maybe 50%. Well my 1-2k plays went up to 10K as I spread it out at 5 NYC #'s. Yes they lost easily and I collected. Only time I really had inside info myself.
Plenty of games that we found out later were donahey officiated and a number of MAC football games, just for starters. I watched some of those games and said at the time they were fixed. Have been on both sides, some won and some lost.
