I've done very well the Last 4 years. To say that people are FOS is very disrespectful, since to make good money at anything all you nedd to do is your homework and make sound decisions. I'm not saying I'm the brightest guy in the World, but I do know this market. This isn't any different then the guy making money in the Stock market. Just because you can't make any money at this, well thats your problem, and you need to take a look at what your doing to correct it.

I agree with you, Blue. I've done okay, and I'm not all that sharp either. I think if you are conservative, pick your spots, and bet the games that you know best, you can do okay, without giving your life and soul to gambling. There are so many good cappers on the board to learn from, and sometimes I bet the picks of the guys that have my respect. With a little luck and an occasional parlay, an amateur can make some extra cash, as well as enjoy the games more.

I don't think the thread was about who is successful as a part time or recreational player. The discussion was about people who claim to be full time professional gamblers. I don't doubt from the quality of handicappers here that there are more than a few that are successful.

However, I also don't think it is out of line to say that most but not all of the people on this board who claim to be full time pros are indeed full of it. Anyone who has even a basic knowledge of filling out a US tax form and reporting gambling winnings would know from the recent thread on tax filing that most of the so-called pros just simply aren't.

As for me I could overall care less who is and who isn't. I was simply commenting on the intent of the original poster. Just goes back to the old school of thought for gamblers that everyone who says they are winning is usually losing and the ones that are winning just keep their mouths shut.

2003, I was definitely part of the 95%:hammerit , thank god this isn't my profession. It is probably going to take several years to get back to the BR I had at the beginning of 2003.
