Is this confirmed guys?

Yes, but it has nothing to do with the protests. The airlines were losing too much money chartering these flights when they could be using them for commercial flights. I believe the airlines brought this up with the teams early last season, but are finally pulling them.

Nine Seattle Seahawks players sat on the bench during the national anthem before Sunday’s game against Indianapolis.
Defensive end Michael Bennett continued his stance of sitting during the anthem, but was joined by the entire Seahawks defensive line and linebacker Michael Wilhoite.
The linemen who sat were Bennett, Cliff Avril, Frank Clark, Sheldon Richardson, Marcus Smith, Jarran Reed, Garrison Smith and Nazair Jones.
Offensive linemen Justin Britt and Oday Aboushi stood next to the sitting players.

their head coach is a truther, sure he's supporting their idiocy

</header>With great sadness, we must report that the rumors the NFL was going to seriously entertain having an “Activist Awareness” month. In which the league would celebrate the protests of anti-American players, are apparently true.

The National Football League has met with the players union, the NFLPA, to discuss the national anthem protests that have become a almost a staple of pregame ceremonies across the league.

The two organizations issued a joint press release on Tuesday saying that the two are “engaged in a productive conversation,” according to Pro Football Talk. The statement read, “The NFL & NFLPA met today to discuss the important issue of social activism by NFL players. Roger Goodell, DeMaurice Smith, Eric Winston, Robert Kraft, John Mara, Art Rooney & other player leaders engaged in a productive conversation. We’re all committed to an ongoing dialogue.”

Before the anthem protests grew to encompass nearly the entire league, a group of four players sent a letter to NFL Commissioner Goodell, to request more league support for social activism.

The 10-page letter was sent in mid-September by Seahawks player Michael Bennett, the Eagles’ Malcolm Jenkins and Torrey Smith, and retired player Anquan Boldin.

The recent meeting to discuss social activism by players comes after more than a year of plummeting ratings, since former San Francisco 49er Colin Kaepernick began the national anthem protests in 2016.

Network TV ratings have suffered, sometimes falling to all-time lows since last year, but this year’s ratings have been particularly bad. Sunday Night Football ratings fell an additional five percent over last year’s Week 4 games hitting a new season low.

Week One and Two were not much better.

Week Two hit the network’s lowest mark since 1998, and the first two games of the season are down double-digits at a multi-year low.

Week One’s season opener between the Chiefs and the Patriots was also a disappointment, drawing only a 14.6 rating for NBC. Last year’s season opener earned a 16.5 rating for the Panthers and Broncos.

Polls of fans correspond with the crashing ratings.

Just this week a Yahoo! poll found that 62 percent of respondents said they would watch fewer NFL games because of the constant anti-American protests.

The Yahoo! poll was an echo of several other recent polls that found fans turning off their TVs in droves.

I'd never stop watching the NFL. Ever. All my friends and coworkers at the office feel the same way. We all love football and football is American. I don't see why the (I'm assuming grown up) grown up men in here can't look past the kneeling and enjoy the game.

Don't agree with it? Ignore it! Just because you don't agree with it or you like to think you're so much more patriotic than them doesn't mean they don't have a right to do it. It's their God given right to do so. That's what's so great about America.

To those misguided posters that think it's disrespectful to the fallen soldiers and such, are you really that clueless that you believe these young men have something against soldiers or American soil itself? No! It's protesting against a certain injustice in this country. Whether or not you believe there is a racism problem in America (there is) is irrelevant. They have every right to protect or not stand for the national anthem.

I went to college, obtained a worthwhile degree, served, pay my taxes (I cut corners when I can though) make a good living and when I sit down to watch a ball game whether at home or at the stadium, I sometimes stand sometimes don't (at home I never do) and that's my Goddamn right. People are placing too much importance on this issue. As long as you are patriotic in your heart and on your day to day activities do your part nobody can say anything to you.

man , what is wrong with these sick fucks ?

Don't be so melodramatic. I think guys like you that try too hard to prove they are patriotic are, in reality, the least patriotic in real life. Usually. I mean what's wrong with them? Well they are Americans for one. They have every right to do what they are doing. Stop acting like they killed a newborn baby or something. In their hearts they love America as much as you. They just have a problem with certain issues in the country. You really in your sick head believe they don't love America?

Get real people. Some real self righteous phonies in this thread. Ahem.

I read the LVPD offered Bennett's attorney 190 different clips of video from the night in question and the attorney didn't respond to the LVPD.

N.J. mega car dealer pulls TV ads over NFL protests

RARITAN TWP. -- In response to the ongoing controversy surrounding NFL players kneeling during the national anthem, the owner of Flemington Car and Truck Country has pulled the dealership's ads from broadcasts of games for the remainder of the 2017 season.

"The National Football League and its owners have shown their fans and marketing partners that they do not have a comprehensive policy to ensure that players stand and show respect for America and our flag during the playing of the national anthem," Steve Kalafer said in a statement. "We have cancelled all of our NFL advertising on the Optimum and Infinity (cable) networks."

"As the NFL parses the important nationwide issues of 'social justice' and 'freedom of speech,' it is clear that a firm direction by them is not forthcoming," Kalafer said in the statement.

"I'm talking to 99-percent of (my) contacts, and they agree that it's disrespectful, it's improper," he said. "We couldn't support the lack of direction."

"Owners buried their heads in the sand when (Colin) Kaepernick was kneeling. That was the time and place for direction and leadership, and that's why this controversy is taking place," he said.
