old thread but been lookin around at PPH services myself lately. So far cheapest I can find is 12 a week, net only. Good software too.
I've been trying to get into the business for a long time, and have been putting off getting a PPH service until I have 5+ clients. Right now I only got a couple guys that play on and off, and one that plays consistent. I know it sounds a bit rediculus to try to set up a legit operation starting with that few people, but hell, everyone starts somewhere.
What I've come to realize is that once you get the PPH service going, it makes your business look MUCH more legitimate to potential clients than just taking bets by phone or text. Your business is more likely to grow quicker once you have a PPH service.
Only problem is the PPH prices can eat you up on a weekly basis if you're only booking for a few players that are generally 50-100 dollar guys. I'm curious if any PPH services offer a red line profit sharing. i.e They keep 20% of the profit you make. Seems like this may be a better option when you're starting this small.... this way I know if I pay the PPH, at least I'm pocketing something too.
If not... let's say you got 3 50-100 dollar players.
12 X 3 X 4 = $144 per month.
I'd much rather give them that $144 knowing that I just pocketed $576 on the month myself. Not sure if such a deal exists... I've had people offer for me to become sub agents on their PPH program, but I'm a little worried about the increased security risk it poses attaching yourself to another bookie when you aren't fully aware how they run their program.
