I honestly would not know how to react if I ever won.
Dont know if I could survive the thrill.
I am serious.
I honestly dont know if I could handle it.

I was up in Michigan visiting my family about 15-20 years ago. I bought my mom and grandmother some The Big Game (which became Mega-Millions), lottery tickets with a multi-million dollar jackpot.

We watched the drawing live and on one set of numbers I matched the first 4 numbers. I was shaking and my heart was beating so fast that I think I would have died of a heart attack if we hit all the numbers...and I was in my 20's at this time. Unfortunately (or fortunately) we didn't match any more and ended up winning a few hundred bucks.

I run the lottery pool at work so I have multiple tickets for the drawings and I don't even look at them. I know that I have to ease myself into it or I'll likely keel over. First I would check which the state the winner was in, if it's Oklahoma I'll search to see what town and then what store. If it's the same store where I made the purchase, then I'll see if any of our numbers match the powerball or megaball and then finally I'll see if I'm holding the winning ticket. Revealing it to myself slowly and gradually is the only way I know for sure I won't fall over dead if we ever hit it.

I had PB 6 on one personal ticket and that is about it. The biggest diappoinment was not catching ANY numbers on our RX Community Ticket. I enjoyed chating with everyone this week and was proud of how everyone contributed. Maybe I can try a reverse location ticket either in Ohio or Michigan or maybe even in another state in the future. Thanks Murph.

The ticket bought in Missouri was bought in a small town of 429 just outside of Kansas City. All the winning numbers can be linked to HOF Kansas City Royals, except for the #16 that can be linked to Bo Jackson.

Powerball lottery tickets sit on a store counter in the Manhattan borough of New York January 5, 2016.

The estimated jackpot for Wednesday night's Powerball drawing has hit $500 million, making it the sixth largest lottery prize ever in the U.S.
If a winning ticket is sold, the winner could select $306 million in cash, before taxes are deducted, or the full jackpot in an annuity paid out over 29 years.

The jackpot value was boosted from $450 million earlier in the day due to strong ticket sales, according to Powerball's press release. However, it still has room to reach the record $656 million jackpot in a Mega Millions drawing in March 2012. The largest Powerball prize was a $590.5 million jackpot won by a Florida woman in May 2013.
The odds of landing this jackpot? One in 292.2 million.
The drawing is at 10:59 p.m. ET Wednesday.
Powerball is played 44 states as well as the Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

Same here. Betting sports and playing poker would probably be boring if you had 500 million in the bank.

I would never show up to work again, sell my house, and move somewhere and live the hell out of life.
