I honestly would not know how to react if I ever won.
Dont know if I could survive the thrill.
I am serious.
I honestly dont know if I could handle it.
I was up in Michigan visiting my family about 15-20 years ago. I bought my mom and grandmother some The Big Game (which became Mega-Millions), lottery tickets with a multi-million dollar jackpot.
We watched the drawing live and on one set of numbers I matched the first 4 numbers. I was shaking and my heart was beating so fast that I think I would have died of a heart attack if we hit all the numbers...and I was in my 20's at this time. Unfortunately (or fortunately) we didn't match any more and ended up winning a few hundred bucks.
I run the lottery pool at work so I have multiple tickets for the drawings and I don't even look at them. I know that I have to ease myself into it or I'll likely keel over. First I would check which the state the winner was in, if it's Oklahoma I'll search to see what town and then what store. If it's the same store where I made the purchase, then I'll see if any of our numbers match the powerball or megaball and then finally I'll see if I'm holding the winning ticket. Revealing it to myself slowly and gradually is the only way I know for sure I won't fall over dead if we ever hit it.
