I didn't know Clutch pasted that from the moderator. I thought the moderator was jumping on me as well.
Regardless, the bottom line is that we're all adults that are responsible for our own decisions. If you look at the success rate of the picks and the line currently available is worthy of your money, then play it if you want. If the line is too high for your tastes, then don't. I can't make those decisions for you, other than to say that I play all the picks at ANY line and recommend the same. The line will never be a deal-breaker for me. If it's too high, mix in the puck line to bring it down. I break down the bet style differences with every post. Either way, the picks are +17 units at single-unit, straight money lines (which includes losses of -175, -170, -167, -165, -163, -163, -152, -136 and -107). This system isn't exactly for someone worried about laying juice. And if you don't have a Matchbook account, you have no room to bitch about juice.
One thing's for sure, I will not post a different line than what I actually got. That doesn't make any sense to me. Again, it goes back to making your own decisions. You're not forcing me to post the picks and I'm not forcing you to play them. You're the manager of your money as I am of mine.
The biggest problem with all this is, if you're familiar with Matchbook, is you can lock in a price that was NEVER available. Say the lowest available line for this game was -121/+119 for Nashville, that means someone actually got Nash at -119 by offering the price on the other side, even though -119 was never visibly available. So, if you don't use Matchbook, you'll never be able to get that line. What are the "forum rules" in that case? I'm guessing the rules didn't account for Matchbook money lines.
Too many variables. Different books have different lines. I'm tracking an actual unit total and the line was only a few cents higher when I finally got around to posting. It would be obvious if someone was trying to "cheat", but a few cents? Come on. Like I said, this isn't a competition and I'm not under contract. If y'all want to compete, let's throw our money up and adhere to strict lines.
What I'll try to do is post the play the night before and give the line I offered at MB. Most of you aren't even going to be awake when I post anyway so I'm not sure what the point is, but I digress.
