Forgot to mention that Texas was doing whatever they wanted all game. Oklahoma had there chances and they didn't get it done.

for most of that game, it was obvious why the spread was 7. oklahoma is still better than texas. its not an indictment of the horns. but sooners are very, very good. momentum swung, texas took advantage like a good team should, and they made the last 'run' and held on. but i still think usc is the only team better than okie. was very impressed with the sooners.

Texas
Florida
Oklahoma
PSU
Bama

With each teams schedule, PSU has by far the easiest -- but that does not mean that they or any of these can or will run the table.

USC looked horrible in the 2nd half this week and IMO they are not in the same class as the rest of these teams. BYU is in to weak of a conference to be a top 5 team.

You put 2 one loss teams as your top 2. get real

Many of the people with brains have posted teams with 1-3 losses on the season. Many people (I being one of them) that Florida and USC will be at the top of the list come the end of the season.

Roll tide until October 25th!

Someone please explain the logic of why we give USC a mulligan for getting their asses handed to them by Oregon State, a team that was pulverized by Penn St. USC was dominated.

And anyone who puts USC over Penn St needs their head examined.

i dont think anybody could say that usc should be ranked ahead of penn state in the polls. they dont deserve to be. but its certainly plausible to argue that southern cal is still the best team ... despite not deserving to be ranked in the top 5 after taking that inexplicable loss.

(similar to how lsu wasn't even in the top 10 two years ago but was clearly the best team in the country down the stretch)

... i do understand what youre saying though redelephants. as far as rankings go - no, usc should not be ranked ahead of psu. they dont deserve their ranking and psu absolutely does. but that doesnt mean psu is necessarily better than usc.

In three weeks, I may put a undefeated Mt West team in, like Utah.

La. Monroe beat Alabama. But they got "pulverized" by Tulsa. Did that make Tulsa a better team that Alabama last year?

Tulsa could have beat Bama last year. They have great offense and no defense so they are the type of team that could shock someone and still have a losing record at the end of the year.

There is a good chance they go undefeated this year if they can outscore Arkansas (which I think they can). Highly doubt they will have a losing record considering they are 6-0.

Wasn't talking about this year. Just saying most of the time teams with great offenses and no defenses can pull off shockers but in the end are not better teams.

Agreed. But I was just saying that his argument about Team A beating Team B then Team B beating Team C is completely irrelevant.

Why is Florida getting so much love. They beat an overrated LSU team. Why was LSU rated so highly because they beat an overrated Auburn team (see Arkansas). Florida struggled with Arkansas most of the game.

Top 5

Texas - most impressive win
Alabama - total domination in a tough road enviroment
Penn State -Wisky is not that good, but credit must be given for winning so dominantly in a tough enviroment
Oklahoma- Coaching Decision may have cost them NC
USC- YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME! Learn it Pete, it helps when you play OSU, Stanford and UCLA.

Yes agree with you 100% . Each game is completely different. Different emotions, different matchups, etc.
