Thanks for the correction. I also want to share something I heard today with you guys because I think you might find it interesting. Hopefully, Scott won't mind me posting it in his thread. Something that happened almost 40 years ago but if you knew this info before the game started you would have been all over Michigan State in 1979 final, if you weren't already. I played golf today with a guy who was on that Indiana State team with Larry Bird. He coached my sons little league team so I've known him for 20 years. I guess a sportswriter is writing a book about greatest final fours and he contacted this guy to ask him questions about that team. He asked my friend to tell him something that no one really knew about. My friend told him that in the locker room before that final, Bird stood in front of his teammates and told them that he didn't feel it that night and they better step up because he basically knew he wouldn't play well. I've always been a big Bird fan even when I lived back east and he played at ISU so I thought it was an interesting fact. Yesterday, I met and played with Larrys older brother Mike so it's been a fun weekend for me.On Wabash's plays today, the #5 Gap Year is in tne 9th race, not the 8th as posted.
Good luck all.
He lives in Arizona now. Was here in Terre Haute visiting family and was heading back home tonight he said. We rode together in cart so talked with him a lot. Real nice guy.Wabash, I know Mike. I've played golf with him many times. Pool too. Where is he? He used to work in Boston and live in Watertown, MA. We lost contact. He's a pretty damned good golfer.
Will you be seeing him again? I'd like you to say hello for me.

Wabash just hit a $13.40 horse, a $530 something Tri Box, and a $2,841 Superfecta Box. GREAT Job if you played it, dude. :toast:Won with Big Rock($15.40/8.00/5.30) and Placed with both Royal Copy($6.40/3.90) and Tizrunner(($9.00/5.40). Other 2 plays ran out.
Playing golf again tomorrow so posting these now for Saratoga on Sunday.
Race 2...#4 Forres Lily 15-1 Improved last out in second start when switching to turf and adding Lasix. Likes to come from off the pace so stretch out to route after 2 sprints fits well. Will be flying late.
Race 5...#4 Katie O 6-1 Set the pace in last 2 at 7 furlongs so has the speed to sit in good position behind what should be a fast pace in this 5 1/2 furlong sprint. Runs them down in the stretch.
Race 6...#4 Maya's Queen Neetee 12-1 Ran 5th beaten just under 3 lengths in her only start last November. Been training well at Saratoga for second career start and adds Lasix.
Race 8...#5 Gap Year 20-1 4 year old filly returns to favorite surface where his 2 best races in her 10 race career have occurred. She ran second with a 90 speed beyer(tied for highest in this field) last August and then returned a month later and won with a 89 speed beyer. Running back to either of those races makes her a winner here at a big price.
