Vitterd you want anymore on this Heat/Hornets series. Line moved a little higher so at the newer true odds of -152

You need this action my man

Nah.....it's all good. Don't get ahead of yourself......you don't want a repeat of jazz/lakers.

Oh I bet the Lakers, was cool with it. Didn't see it unfolding exactly like that but you knew when even Ced Ceballos was in the building that it might not be on the up and up. Gordon Hayward in particular seemed like he just stopped trying the last 4 minutes.

There is an old saying "There comes a point in every series when both teams know who the better team is."

That happened at about the 7 minute mark of the 1st quarter for Charlotte and Miami.

Are you a long time gambler? I think we know that chalk usually rules the day in these NBA series but I've seen teams win by 20 and then lose by 20 to the same team the next game. Be careful.....you counted that jazz win in the 3rd quarter .....thought that might stop you from jumping the gun.

Be careful of what? I have no influence over the outcome and there isn't any emotional attachment. Not like I'm gonna tilt hard and go on a 24 hour all blow bender if they comeback.

I wasn't jumping the gun, I thought Miami was the significantly better team before the series started. Obviously anything can happen but I'd be surprised if they lost to Charlotte. Hence why I bet them.

I meant be careful on calling something before it ends. Those sheriff Joe moments tend to live on in here forever.

Yeah I'd be surprised if Charlotte won. There is a legitimate talent disparity between those 2, but yes anything can happen. I am aware of that. 3 years ago I bet the Nets rd 1 vs the Bulls. Chicago lost game 1 by like 30 and ended up winning the series in 7. There was an absurd game in this series when Chicago was down like 11 with 3 minutes left and won. CJ Watson missed a breakaway layup. He was fucking Floyd Mayweather's baby momma for a minute so I think retribution for doing that may have been in his head, I dunno.

As far as chalk, I wouldn't really call Miami "chalk" since they were just favored because of homecourt advantage. If Charlotte had homecourt the line would've been flipped the other way but similar. Something like Cha -150/Mia +130.

Up 14 with 3:24 left. Lost the game in OT, got down 3-1, eventually forced game 7 but lost the series (Nets were like -300 at home in game 7 IIRC)

Things change every season in the NBA Playoffs. Some changes are complete reversals from years-long results. Others are more subtle.

Round 1 or 2, Home Team with 1-0 lead:

Last 12 years = 69-41 ATS, but.....

Last 4 years = 10-21 ATS
