Congrats on the horse hit Wabash. Good to see others besides the usual 3 of us in here. Barman thanks for including methodology with the plays. Would be great to see others do so. Not for every pick of course but at least once in a while a few reasons why you're risking one team vs another.

Another losing Saturday (5-6) in Hoops drops the record to 241-215. Caught a break when Oregon laid down for the Books, one of 5 bizarre endings last night. The Hoosiers were another team bet heavily yesterday that blew the cover (-5) after leading by 19. GSW were outscored by LAC 13-0 in the last 1:30 of the game for your NBA FIX. Kentucky lost because their player spiked the ball. And Notre Dame lost due to a Homer call that awarded Ga Tech a jump ball after their player fell on an ND player's back and never even tied him up. Should have been a foul or an ND TO but the ref decided to give Ga Tech a chance to win at the buzzer, which is exactly what they did.

Thanks Scott. Derby prep races are in full swing now with a big race or races every week for next 2 months leading up to the derby. I'll try to be here each week to post my horse play for each race and throw in some CBB plays as well.

Heck of a pick wabash. I was at the track. Had MoTom. He got cut off badly as he was making his big closing move down the stretch but still think your horse would have prevailed. Curious why you liked that horse.

PS I thought Airforce was a potential phony. He was.

Airoforce is a turf horse so I threw him out immediately. Gun Runner ran fourth just a length behind Mo Tom in his last race the end of last year and that was on an off track. So I knew he could beat him if ran his race. Geroux picking up the mount was a big factor. Usually when the tracks leading jockey picks up a new mount like this, it can only be a positive. If I have a choice between 2 horses I always go with the better price also.

NBA is crazy. Dirty, rotten crooked mother fuckers. Those Orlando and Port endings looked like WWE type stuff.

NationalBookiesAssociation came out for the second half in full "fuck the capper" mode, no doubt.

I'm curious, why do you guys continue betting NBA games when it seems like so many games have these questionable endings? I don't follow nor gamble on the NBA anymore but it seems I hear more and more complaining from people about so many questionable endings in the NBA. If you all truly believe some of these games are fixed, why bet them?

I don't bet as much NBA as I used to. Haven't stopped completely though. I think some of these games are manipulated late though.

Wabash:

do you think horse racing is on the up and up? I will periodically go to the track and have heard things about holding horses back and fixed races.

There is cheating of some sort in all sports. Do I think horse racing is fixed? No, not in the same sense you guys refer to with the NBA. Do some trainers on occasion try to gain an advantage by breaking a rule to better their horse for a race? Yes, but the outcome doesn't necessarily mean a "fixed" race. I certainly have never and can't see myself ever crying fixed over a lost horse bet, that's for sure.

It's been proven in the past that some NBA games have been fixed so wouldn't surprise me if it still happens on occasion. I just can't bet a sport I don't enjoy watching and I don't enjoy the NBA any more like I did years ago.

It's the NBA guys. The trick is figuring out who is gonna bring their best vs an opponent who will come with less than their best. It happens every night. We just have to live with the weird NBA endings that present themselves 'cause they are virtually impossible to handicap. Sometimes they fall for you. Sometimes against.

Having said all that I'm 3-8 for the Second Half. Things will improve.

I hear ya. I don't think im crying about it....just pointing out the shady endings. shake my head and laugh more than anything else.

Horse guys tell me that jockey will hold a horse back to increase odds in later races. No idea if that's true just what veteran track guys say to me.

So I benefited from that unlikely ending, Scott. For every benefit, I'll show you a countering crazy loss. I need it after a putrid Second Half start.
