ECS dammit I thought you were going to be out there in August. My bad. I wish I was out there right now. I am on a good rush right now. I need to keep it going right to the Venetian.

Good luck and keep us up to date. Win or lose play your way and don't rush shit you have all day to find a hand to play against the fish.

Ok guys, back from vegas. As much as I wish I had a ton of great stories, I dont, as far as poker goes. The summer has alot more going on then the winter in vegas and I stayed very busy. I have a great story about the pool if anyone wants to hear it. Let me just say, if you ever stay at the Flamingo in the summer,do yourself a favor and order a cabana.

Poker wise, ill give a quick breakdown of the rooms I played.....

Flamingo- Very disappointed in how tough this room was every time I played. Almost zero bad players, in fact one morning I played this was the toughest table I faced all trip. I had 4 players at my table that had played in the ME wsop, and 2 of them had cashed. Also at the table were 2 Sweden players that were good and a guy from Madrid. Brutal table, I only caught 1 or 2 good hands, tried to make a big bluff and got caught but only ended up down 40 after a few hours.

Here was the big bluff hand, 1 limper in front of me (i'd say he might be the worst player at the table, and even he was solid). I had AQ and raised it to 12. 2 callers, including the limper. Flop comes A J 3, 2 dim. Original limper fires out 20 bucks and I am pretty sure he is on the flush draw. I raise it up to 60 I believe, other guy folds. Turn is the 8 of dim. He checks and I quickly check behind. River is another dim and he looks sick. I am thinking he must of made the flush but is now concerned about the 4 dim board. Time to either deal with the loss as I have no dim or go for it. I decide to go for it. Now, I need to bet something big enough to get him to lay it down, but can't make it so obvious. Since their was about 140 in the pot, I decide 100 looks like a nice round number and bet 100 bucks, representing the K/Q of dim (A was a Dim). Guy starts talking about how bad he played, he can't believe he didn't bet the turn, he can't believe he let me luck into that river, blah blah blah. So i'm thinking he's gonna toss em, but then he goes "ahh fuck it, I know this is bad but I'm gonna call", he flips over 64 of dim and I disgustingly muck. Bummer, IMO he made a really bad call, and no way in hell he had any read on me, oh well.

MGM- Very tough, I played in the afternoon, but table was full of foreign players who could play (-30 here as well, although I left pretty soon, I knew their wasn't one single easy out at this table)

PH- Awsome place to play, the players were finally pretty bad and the room is sweet as is the hotel (and the cocktail waitresses have the best outfits in the entire town!). Of course I went card dead, won an ok pot with QQ against a guy who went all in with A7 (about the 4th time he had gone all in with A rag). I left up a few bucks, just did not hit a hand, but yes, their are bad players here and I recommend playing here.

IP- Easiest game I came across by far, had not 1, but 2 guys who liked to call down to the river with A high, finally made some cash here before the table broke, up 100 and some change, although could of been more had I played this hand better......

Ok, the IP hand. I had AA and made a standard raise, I think it was 15 bucks and got 2 callers. Flop comes down 9 4 4. I lead out with 25 and get 1 caller (drunk young guy who talked alot and asked me if I had a pp like him). Turn comes 6 and I check. I did this because I was almost 100 percent sure he was gonna bet it, he hadn't lied in the past. My plan was for him to fire and then for me to call and then go all in on the river no matter what came, so I checked and he bets 50 which I call. I had about 120 left after making the call and kinda wish I had gone all in right their. The problem with that is I thought it would look to strong and he would fold, if I moved on the river no matter what came (and did it very quick) it might look like a steal and I thought I could get a call. However, the river ended up fucking me. River was an Ace. I still do my move but now it looks actually powerful because of the f'n ace (how many times do you think you would be cursing hitting a boat). He thinks for awhile and says that the ace was the only card he was scared of. Son of a bitch, he ends up folding face up pp1010. If I check on the river he checks so no points for checking, maybe a small bet gets a little action, but even then, the way he looked at that ace in horror was not good.
So, I got a nice pot, but it could of been so much more had any card minus a 10 or A came on the river.

Had a ton of fun in vegas and will be back in the winter where I can play uninterupted poker for long periods of time. Good story was I saw GD at PH and he was in the tourny and hammered. Yet he was at the final table with a ton of chips. I got his number and then promptly lost it while getting really drunk at a pai gow table. The next day I went back to see if he was their, he wasn't, but they were still talking about a really drunk guy in the tournament the night before, had to be him. Hope you won that thing GD!

Sorry for slacking guys, gonna give a quick recap. Currently sitting at $1080.

Have had some good and some bad, went on tilt a little or it would of been a little higher. About +100 and some change last 2 days.

Good- Finally ran my AA into a KK and won. Hit a few sets against bigger hands pre and won a decent amount. Had QJ against 77. Flop comes QJ7, 2 spades. I am last to act and bet about the pot, guy with 77 just doubles my bet and I decide if he's on a draw im not gonna get rid of him so Im gonna smooth call and see what happens. Turn is a spade, he only bets a little less than half the pot and I call (at the time I was thinking he either hit his flush and im gonna need a QJ or I really was still ahead and he was nervous about the spade. River was a Q and he fires out a big bet. Now I have him on either Q7/JJ/77 or he had the spade and waited too long. So I am pretty sure he's gonna call whatever I bet so I just toss it all in. He calls and I scoop a big one. Hit another boat on the river against a guy who was chasing a flush on a paired board (not always the best idea), got him all in and won a decent one.

Had a guy get pissed at me, even though when I pushed % wise I was ahead (I wasn't gonna tell him that). I had Q10h in late position and about 4 people had called a raise so I figured lets see if I can hit something. Flop comes down Kh Jd 6h. 1 guy bets about the pot and I raise (he only had about 20 left so I wanted him to commit). He does push all in and I call with my straight/flush draw. he had K9, funny enough I didnt hit either the straight or the flush, went runner runner 10 and I took it. He was pissed, how funny is that.

Bad- Ran my set of 5's into a set of K's, missed a big flush/straight draw. Tilted a little bit w/ 1010 against AA (I should of known he had me beat, I was being hard headed). I'm sure their were more but I guess I tend to block out the bad, lol. Couple times I hit good cards on the river after my Cbets were called but I was already beat.

So, as we stand now, +1080. Would love to have it at 2000 by the time I go back to work.

Hey guys, nothing new online although did go to the casino last night and stayed. They had sent me a free room voucher w/ breakfast so I went and played some cards with the wife. All told from 2 sessions I ended up +200. Not bad. I wish I had some great hands to tell about, alas I dont. I got paid off with Aq against QJ on a flop w/ 2 queens and got paid off one other time with KK vs QJ on a J high flop. That was pretty much my hands. I did flop quads once with 88 in the sb when I didnt even look at my cards until the turn, lol. Didn't get much cash with that one. Lost with QQ vs 99 when a 9 hit, luckily an ace on the board and 2 hearts saved me some cash when the third heart came on the turn.

Bout it, ill keep grinding on until I leave for florida

Finally some interesting stories, played a quick hour or so session after dinner and before gym. Some good hands.....

Ok, things started off pretty bad at all tables, I get AK at one table and raise it up. 1 guy who has been playing very bad and crazy calls. Flop comes KK9 rainbow, jackpot. He checks and I check behind. Turn is a 6 and he fires out the pot, now im thinking he might have KQ,KJ,K10, hell maybe even just a 9 so im gonna milk this bad boy, I just call (cue donkey sounds). Turn is a 3 and he bets again, I raise him a little more than double, he calls and shows PP3. I suck

Same table I get things rolling, although im down pretty far against the same guy. I have pp10, I bet he raises I push he calls with pp9 and I am back in business. Then I run my KK into 34 on a flop of 349 (why he is calling big bets with 34 IDK, but I luck into a K on the turn and take it down). Now im back over where I started, I pick up a few more pots and leave that table up about 30.

Another table the guy to my right has raised my sb every time if he's on the button and raised my bb everytime if he's sb. 1 time I call with 87s, hit a 7 but he bets like double the pot and I fold. I then tell him that all his chips will belong to me at some point. In the sb again he raises, this time I have QQ, reraise a little and he folds and I tell him everytime he raises for now one I will reraise. The lucky fairy must of been listening because like 10 hands later he finally raises and I have AA. I reraise him as promised and he goes all in for like 25 total. I call and he has A8 and is not very happy with me. He curses me until he finally leaves the table.

Good stuff, I end +60 for about an hours work. Time to hit the gym and try again tonight.

ECS, I just got through a six day session(around 75 hours) where I can't remember losing a pivotal decision. The last hand I played was calling a $45 raise from the BB in the cutoff(55) after five limpers($2-$5 no limit) folded. I thought he was making a move. The flop came KK5 and we both checked. The turn brought a 3 and I was now hoping he was on AK when he bet the pot($120) and I called. Believe it or not, the flop brought the "cooler" 5 and he bet $275, I re-raised $300, and he went all-in for $850. He showed KQ. I am taking a break until Aug. 1. Good Luck

great stories ECS. I just played last night. Added another 460 to my stack. They changed from $6 every 1/2 hr to just a rake on winners pot. This lets you just sit there for hrs if needed. It's incredible that people will pay you off when I play about 3-4 hands an hr. LOL

My best story from last night is when I made a total bluff at a pot with 2-8 after the turn. This play helped pay me off later. But the guy only had $85 left in his pile. I bet 35 he thought for about 2 mins. Finally a fold comes and I flip over the bluff. People said why did you show the bluff (morons). So 3 hands later I am bb get K,Jo 6 of 10 limp all the way around I check. flopp comes K,K,7 I bet out 25. I get 3 callers, next card J. I bet out 50 again get 2 callers. River shows a 6 or whatever. I push 125 out there the guy that I bluffed says I don't think you got much of anything pushed his 100 in and the other guy says well hell I got the nut flush and calls. LMAO I say sorry boys I got the nutts on this hand flip it over and they go away to get more chips.

So sometimes it is great to show the bluff. Not all the time but it just might give out a different table image of the way you play. I am up about 2,000 since I have been going to the casino.

Nice work TRS, if you can toss a bluff in and show it can help depending on your image of course. I like to do alot of stealing so I dont show bluffs. However, I am able to act weak and then get paid.

LOL ECS up here there is no need to steal. They will pay you off anyways. That is why I rarely make a play like that with nothing. It's all timing though as you know. I showed it for the purpose
