T his only negative is experience and I think we saw that in the last two games with his turn overs. Some bad decisions because he has not been in those positions before. His upside is huge.. I hate to sound like a homer and try to always be objective, but in my honest opinion of the 4 teams in the playoff Jones was and is the best QB of the 4 when you look at all the measurable traits. While he was third on the depth chart he could easily have been first. Millers ability to run put him number one. In the spring Jones was second on the depth chart and tbh i dont know why he fell to third. We were fortunate to have 3 kids when you put everything together that are pretty close to each other with ability.. I would like to see him stay in school but if he could be projected as a first round pick I would love for him to see the financial reward. He has gone through some really tough life issues and it would be great for him, or any kid, who has struggled as he has, to come out in good shape for a change and enjoy the good things life has to offer.
i think all 4 teams in the playoff are good solid teams, i think the difference maker was the head coach.. i have said it forever. Urban Meyer is the best "coach" out there. I am not even sure who I would put at second. I think saban is average with X's and O's but his ability to recruit is unmatched, that is what makes bama so great. On top of that he is a great leader, few men like him in the country. He can be successful at what ever he chooses to do because he understands the organizational "process" of success.. on top of that I think he is a class act. He is probably one of best, if not the best men in the coaching profession. Saban represents everything that is good in college football, I think Urban Meyer has learned a lot from him and is becoming more "saban" like..
Ok the final AP poll comes out and has Oregon #2. They have Alabama #4. Now I realize Oregon played in the national championship game but they lost to Ohio St by a larger margin than Alabama in their loss to Ohio St. I don't get it. In fact they ranked TCU #3 ahead of Alabama. I think Alabama should have been ranked #2 and I am not an Alabama or SEC fan either. I think Oregon should have been #3 over TCU. What do you think.
