Review: This team has 21 of 22 returning starters from the 12-4 season last year. That is assuming they are all healthy. This is rare in the free agent period, and had a very solid team.

PreGame: My biggest concern coming into the year was the defense. We lost Ken Lucas, a very skilled Corner who rarely made a mistake. Richard Marshall got that starting job. Marshall is an AWFUL corner. Opposing teams pick on him the entire game. Whoever he is guarding, usually gets the ball. My 2nd concern was the new defensive style of play. We are going to limit our blitzes and try to get pressure with our 4 linemen.

PostGame:
It turns out, an above average QB will be able to pick apart any D if given the time. Granted my favorite player on the D, Chris Harris, S, was out, but McNabb did what ever he wanted with the ball. Beason came up with a big interception early in the game to try and shift momentum, but it really never resulted into anything. The team did better against the run than I expected without Kemoateo who was lost for the year in preason. Still this team was dominated.

Offense: Panther fans have been calling for Coach Fox head for years now. They just don't think his passive play style will work. I disagree. Our OL SHOULD Be one of the best in the game. However, The OL got the worst grade in all the league in my opinion in week 1. We have huge, mobile, proven guys on our line. All who were together last year, and time and time again they gave up a sack, or a penalty. It was pathetic. These guys are much better than that. I am willing to accept that Delhomme is Farve in the fact he is a risk taker, but I am not willing to accept that our Offensive Line isn't giving Delhomme enough time.
As far as our running game goes, I couldn't be more happy with our backfield. D. Williams and Jon Stewart are monsters back there and we should be running the ball with consistency.

We all know about Delhomme. I am not going to address that. I am still hurting inside after Sunday performance. God, we need to get back to our 2008 form fast.. or bench our skilled players and Draft McCoy =)

Steelers over all B-

Defense B could have stopped a few more passes or gotten to the QB more

Offense A- Big ben rocked and wa nails when he needed to be ...Holmes was catching everything thrown at him

but the running game was DOG shit and needs to be fixed in a hurry special teams A+ the addition of the little man Stephan Logan in Punt and kick returns is awesome what a find from the CFL league!:)<< that guy can flat out fly

Giants B

They move the ball between the 20's but to often have little to show for it. However, a win is a win.

Bears:

D- Offense was brutal, the wide recievers and Qb were never really on the same page.

B Defense did not play all that bad

F special teams, gave up many yards on returns, and lets not talk about the fake punt.

Correct on all points. I'll go one further and give the coaching an D also. Never tried to establish the run and lost two challanges. Do they ever win a challange?

my team performed as expected for this year.....

Defense, actually did decent for most of the game against a good Cowboys offense.....but a couple of blown coverages late, made the score worse than expected...

The offense actually moved the ball fairly decent but didnt capatalize each time......

I think its just a matter of weeks before Freeman takes over, and we find out if we got Peyton Manning, or Ryan Leaf.....

Saints offense is in full form as expected. Mike Bell looks great so far, big help to have a real running back. 4 recievers who are all prime time and even Shockey looks great so far.

Defense is another story...secondary is 100% better than last year but the defense STILL cant stop the run and that means u cant win in the NFL. Stopping the run is everything in football and the Saints will have to get better at it or they will eventually lose because of it......

I heard a stat that Lovie's challenge success rate is only a couple of points below the league average.

Overall a team grade of D
The defense had a lead in the 4th quarter and gave it away again.
Everyone saw the struggles of the offense and the fake punt.

Broncos:

Offense: C (70/100)
Under normal circumstances, I'd rate them lower here but I will give them some extra credit b/c Orton was playing with the glove and it was the very first time that Orton, Marshall & Moreno have been on the field together including preseason.

Defense: A- (90/100)
Cincy's WR dropped some balls but for the most part Denver's D brought it. Every talking head on TV was saying start every Bengal you can in FF b/c Carson was going to light them up. Fact remains that Denver shut them out for 59+ minutes. Cincy had 9 drives that ended in a punt or TO and three of those were 3 and outs. Like I've been saying all off-season.....Nolan is a HUGE upgrade over Slowik. The rund D was stellar (3.2 YPC). LB's still vulnerable to TE routes over the middle but luckily the Bengals didn't have a top tier TE to take advantage of it. They better get that worked out before they have to face Gates/Miller, etc.

Special Teams: B- (80/100)
One shanked punt but the rest were okay...Prater nailed 48 & 50 yard FG's. Coverage was pretty good but the return game sucked. An improvement for the most part over LY. Denver's ST sucked almost as bad as their D last year.

Coaching: B (85/100)
Stokely's miracle probably never happens if McD doesn't get that 18 seconds back on the clock after Benson's TD. Pretty vanilla game plan overall given Orton's limitations and the early season lack of cohesiveness because of Orton's finger, Moreno's knee & Marshall's suspension. My biggest complaint is Hillis' lack of involvement. McD has got to get him more touches whether it's single back, split wide, or FB dump off. As mentioned earlier...Nolan had his unit ready and did a good job by having Champ & B-Dawk blanket #85 on key downs.

Overall: Solid B-

B-? What game did you watch?

McNabb wasn't that good....

Stupid penalties...

Delhomme made some huge mistakes and the play calling was atrocious...

Eagles defense was awesome but if JJ was to come down from heaven, even he would say there will be improvement...

Love my Eagles...:toast:
