But Ebron likely has a clear expiration date.
Besides Reed, who is the best TE on waivers?
Just seems like cuff RB's are all over the wire in a league like that, whereas a starting TE1 isn't.
1. I don't view Aaron Jones as a typical cuff RB, I think he has potential to increase his value from current stock, even if only to make him a viable trade piece as RB probably continue to thin out with injuries.
2. There are plenty of viable starting TE1 because of the short benches we have. Here are the FA TEs sorted by projected points for the remainder of the year.
I prefer Ebron (projected 130) over all those options, but in his bye week in week 9 I'm confident I can find a comparable 1 week plug-in. I could drop Jones at that point if he has not blossomed as expected and carry 2 TE for that week and then keep the 1 I prefer; or just drop Ebron and switch to someone with similar projections. Dependent on how Ebron has performed. I'll also keep my eyes peeled on the waiver wire in weeks 7-8 and figure it out. Lastly, I am also poking around some trade offers for an upgrade at that position.
Bottom line is I don't have one of the top tier (or even tier 2) TEs, I'm in the "replaceable" tier where they all project to 9ish PPG and are an expendable commodity. Which is where I put Reed too.
