The US prices are standard everywhere you go. Retailers are not allowed to sell the game units or accessories at a mark-up. They are sold at cost only, and the games are where the profits are made.
Standard rates are $199 for the PS2 deck, usually comes with 2 controllers and Jak & Dexter game. Memory cards are $25 for one, or you can get a 2 pack for $40. Heck, if prices are double that in CR, then maybe I should start a shipping service for cards & accessories. LOL. Memory cards are very small and lightweight, and could be shipped express delivery very cheaply. Especially if one person were to receive a large pack to be divided up among others.
Anyway, what I would like to know is how you burn copies of the games. Every time I try, it never recognizes it as being a PS2 format disc. Do I have to buy specially formatted CDs, or do I have to do something else to get it to take?

How much you pay for yours slimmy? Reality check for those who care....
Playstation 2 cost atleast $250 in the U.S.(double that here in CR)
Extra duel Shock2 controller $25, plus Play2 memory card for another $25(again were talkin lowest U.S. prices, definately talking double that here). To have the chip to play burned games installed here will cost you another $100 U.S. Also Im including 10 play 2 games that are atleast 2,500 colones a piece a couple that are 5 dimes because they are double disk, a couple play 1 copies and a play 1 memory card which you need to play the old games. Do the math bro, its not a bad deal.
