My buddy one time had 10-30 large on Byu with jimmy ferrete line was 8.5...Byu up 11 with ball in hand clock at like 22 seconds it was march madness against wofford next thing you know Jimmy launches a half court air ball out of bounds...wofford goes all the way down had wide open layup instead guy kicks the ball out for the dagger back door 3 and he wanted to buy the game to 8 but Vegas books denied him that. Changed his life forever true story. Incredible beat there

That game is pretty minor.
There's 2 schools of thought on that..we both the half point doesn't come into play 90% of games..as book sharpen throughout season tho it does seem more logical to buy halfs..hence march madness the half point will matter much much more. On a day to day basis buying the half is not that beneficial.
