This is a new era in sports as well as entertainment (which actually includes sports)
Do the math on a family of 4 going to the Super Bowl for the weekend (Fri to Mon or Sat to Mon: Tickets, Lodging, Meals, Beer, Snacks, Transportation, Parking, Shopping, other entertainment, Miscellaneous
That could easily top $100,000 .... Thats one football game man!

I bought a ticket to the Nuggets/76ers game on Saturday afternoon on StubHub. The list price was $108. After fees and service charge it was $152. StubHub removed ability to see fees and service charge on their site until you commit to the ticket. You don't have to buy it when you see the final price but you can no longer scroll the tickets to see the actual cost. There is a site TikPik that lets you see the final price but it might be higher than StubHub. It's real simple. Congress should pass laws with the FTC that all final prices have be visible on all ticket broker sites. That include large brokers like Vivid Seats. Stop fucking around with these games. Is it any different than not showing hotel prices in Las Vegas without the resort fees and taxes until you start the process of reserving the room. StubHub and Ticketmaster cut deals with teams to prevent tickets being priced below the floor price set by teams. In other words teams like the Flyers who were playing in half empty Wells Fargo Center the last couple of years still had high prices for upper balcony seats. They didn't want the secondary market cutting into their box office prices. Who the hell are they to control the secondary market.

Thing with not seeing the final price if your looking for something with friends (could be a play or a concert and sports) You tell your friends the price then when you get the final total it's significantly higher so when you tell the other people they say ...you said it was this and it makes you feel like they think your trying to rip off your friends ... It's just a bad deal ... if your have to charge those fees just put it in the initial price and eliminate the surprises

It’s truly ridiculous on every level. Life was a hell of a lot simpler prior cell phones and internet . Where you could actually go to a game and not be bothered for a few hrs. I kind of miss the days of finding a pay phone and the moment you heard someone’s beeper you assumed drug dealer. A lot less anxiety out there . I’m done going to sporting events and honestly after going to Vegas wild card weekend I was really turned off by the cost of everything.
