Today my pick was between Pittsburgh or anahiem and I just liked the penguins a little more. Now I am tempted to get greedy and put half a unit on the ducks. I won't though gotta stick with what's working tomorrows another day. See you guys tomorrow fo another pick.

Tough day with only 2 games on the schedule. I did like one play today but there is alot of juice that comes with it so beware. It is the play of the day thread so I have to pick the best play in my opinion. All that being said today's pick is:

------------------
Atlanta +1.5 -170
------------------

A few key reasons I like the Thrashers tonight. Washington has won their last 5 road games so that scared me a little at first but they also have not beat a team by more then 2 goals since Feb 22 (11 games ago). As for Atlanta the last time they got beat by 2 goals was Feb 21 (10 games ago). And Altlanta has won 5 straight games scoring a power play goal in each. They have also only had 1 goal scored on them in the last 6 on the power play. The fact that they are at home is nice as well. I know it is a lot to pay for the +1.5 -170 but I think it has some great value. I think the line of Washington on the road at -195 is over priced. As for taking Atlanta straight up at +165 it is a little more risk then I was willing to take. Look for a 3-2, 4-3 type of game going either way.

Lets get another winner

Good Luck!

Ouch yeah I just saw that Kovalchuk is usually good to get his number on the score sheet. Atlanta still has some decent players on offense and should be able to use the home crowd to their advantage.

Lehtonen is also Atlanta's best player and I think he plays the Caps tough tonight. He has 2 shutouts in his last 4 games, and has won 6 of his last 8 games (the two loses were by a goal BTW).

Anyways like I said not much to pick from tonight.

Another winning night can't beat that. Congrats to all those that took the +165 as well. Lehtonen was great stopping 49 shots and should have got the shutout. 3 PP goals for Atlanta as well.

YTD 12-1-1 / +11.75 units

Great roll going here hope to keep it up with a good game tonight. 10 games on the schedule so should find a decent play. Back later with the Play of the Day.

St. Patrick's Day Pick is;

---------------
Montreal -130
---------------

I really like this play today both teams are tied at 80 points so this is a huge game for both teams. I think Montreal at -130 is great value with the home ice. Yes Montreal has been struggling a little of late and they just had the coaching change. They won 4 home game in a row before losing at home to NYI in OT and then New Jersey 3-1. Montreal is always dangerous at home no matter what.

As for the Rangers they have been good but if you look at their last 13 road games they have just 2 wins. Home ice is the key in this game and Montreal gets the W.

Look for a close game and this should be another exciting game with some great hockey. Montreal 3-2, or 4-2 is my prediction. If you want to drop a half unit on Montreal -1.5 at +225 it might pay off, but the pick is Montreal -130.

Good Luck!

Ok eaglez has become an instant hit and a fav.... but remember there is always ups and downs with gambling... and remember all his plays are 1 units! ... so if he loses one game and you place a unit higher than one.. its YOUR fault! you better not come in and blame him.... RX has lost many good cappers and I really don't want to see eaglez gone....

other than that... Keepp up the good work :toast:

Thanks for the comments Bro! Like Winners has said I only recommend betting 1 unit on each play, gambling is all about decipline. I have chased the money too many times with bad results not to have learned my lesson.

Although I was kind of hoping people would start blaming me when I lose a pick I think this thread would be much more entertaining then. Their will be some loses that is for sure but just hopefully more winners then losers. Hey maybe it is a great time to start fading me, a streak of 12-1-1 is sure to start going the other way isn't it?????

Anyways lets just keep plugging along and I can't wait for the Playoffs. Too bad my home town Leafs suck ass once again. Well actually for the players they have they have played hard all year.
