In those thirty years, I can cite a gazillion games where a line seemed to good to be true, only to bite Joe Square in the ass so many times he has no more bollocks.

McWilliam was a -125 dog against the mighty Valenzuela.
Every Square, and I mean every Square was on LA.
Bottom line, McWIlliams tosses like a 4 hit career game, books were eating porterhouse for a week.
I don't have all night, but I can site a gazillion more like that from 1980 all the way up to today.

I agree with rolltide. We don't need every acting like it was an amazing line read. If the Pirates rocked the starter n was up big early then yeah good lines read. But the fact is that the Mets blew a 5-0 lead and couldn't hold a 2 run lead in the 8th. Congrats on your come from behind victory but you don't have to rub in it for the people who lost this way with the Mets. We've all lost this way before and we don't need it rubbed in our faces. That was a $400 swing for me tonight and it stings.
