I love Pink Floyd but Waters has become suck a fucking douche bag that I can't stand him. When I go to a concert I don't want to hear the cocksuckers political opinions, just play the music. Waters loves the Palestineans and tried convincing the Stones not to play in Israel. Keep your opinion to yourself. Just like U2, Bruce Springsteen and too many other bands.
Waters and Robbie Robertson are somewhat unredeamable, for me, on a professional level... Like me being a fan. That said, they were what made it what it was, and I appreciate that. I'll still give the other members, or the remaining band, my money... I do think the Division Bell was hated on more than it should've been - has a few absolute stinkers, but also a few great tracks.
What surprises me about Robbie Robertson is how good this guy can play guitar. He's in the kind of band that doesn't emphasize guitar. But in the concert/film The Last Waltz, when Eric Clapton came on stage as a guest he got absolutely owned by RR when they did their solos together. I had no idea how good he was until I saw that film. Hell of a talent.
