Biden did say he would defund the police. That is exactly what diverting funds is. It is not a 100 percent defunding but it certainly is defunding. Sending social workers to domestic calls will have horrible consequences. Biden calls it redirecting funds from the police.
It’s smart. They obviously do too much, let’s lighten their workload. Too much falls on their shoulders. And we’re asking these socially inept, usually troubled cops to be the parent, teacher, cop/law enforcer, counselor, friend. Can’t do it all. Just focus on being a public servant and serve the public. Do whatever the public needs. And that’s not happening right now. They need help
