My original statement was about how others view one persons drug use compared to another persons. It wasn't about Bonds cheating, it was about people accusing him of doing so
When Bonds was using steroids, MLB made the choice to do nothing about controlling their use, despite the fact that they had already been a part of the sport for over 10 years and a part of other sports for 50 years. Because of that choice, any player using cannot be considered a cheater. When that point is brought up, the response then becomes "well, they're illegal"
