For the uninformed of country I will attempt to explain. It has nothing to do with Catholics using birth control as many do.

The mandate that Catholic institutions must pay for health insurance that includes birth control goes against the churches teachings which makes said mandate unconstitutional.

Many believe it’s an assault on religious liberty, religious freedom and the First Amendment.

It’s another attempt by the administration dictate what a person must do.

The same principles apply here that apply to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act which will be ruled on by the Supreme Court later this year.

Now, I have no use for religion in general and Catholicism in particular but I am very much apposed to social engineering which is exactly what President Failure and his merry band of liars are attempting.

The First Amendment was written into the Constitution for a reason and it’s what separates us from being a third world dictatorship.

Since you're so well informed, and like polls so much, care to comment on THIS one?

ok, well, way NOT to answer my question Dave

I'm assuming by now you know what my political beliefs are so I'm not really sure what your diatribe was about since I'm obviously not in favor of government interference in personal choices

My question had to do with the poll that YOU posted. Clearly it's trying to link Catholics lessening approval rating with Obama's birth control "mandates" but it just simply isn't true. And, let's be honest...you posted it making the same sophomoric assumption. Yet, there's dozens of reasons Catholics, Jews, Hindus, and Mormons in America have a lesser view of The Big O then at his highest approval number but trying to make this link either is calling Catholics complete hypocrites or just shoddy journalism...and typical Dave (avg american) on reading a title at face value without putting an ounce of thought into it

as you were..

I was just contributing to a long held standard in this forum. That standard is to provoke arguments not discussion. Poll vs. poll if you will.

Your question was…

so then WHY would these surveying agencies try to link Obama's lessening support among Catholics with the birth control mandate? Seems like they're just pulling news out of their ass unless they think the majority of Catholics are hypocrites...doh!

While I looked at the big picture of what the administration is trying to accomplish you zeroed in on “birth control” and “hypocrisy” when the 1st Amendment is the issue.

Don’t assume that I know your political beliefs. I’m just an average guy who puts no thought into it. You believe these surveying agencies pull news out of their asses when you don’t agree with their findings.

Let’s just cut to the chase, you don’t like it when I disagree with your views. So you go out of your way to demean what I say in a condescending manner.

To put it another way, you think your shit doesn’t stink.

So, no comment on the OTHER poll about the religious issue? None about the poll that shows him getting his clock cleaned in his home state by Santarium?
No comment about how I got YOU to STFU in the thread shown? No snappy comeback, no pithy rejoinder? What's the matter, cat got your crotch? :lolBIG:rx0--0:pope::lol::party:!~))!:nohead::pointer::hahahahah
