I feel sorry for the guy in all honesty. From reading his posts, pennywise comes across as as a humble, good hearted and fun guy. He has built up a really strong following over the last few months, word of mouth has spread far and wide and what started off as regular forum members participating in threads has turned into all manner of people coming into threads and bashing, criticizing, nitpicking etc. Whats worse is that some people have taken to contacting him off the forum and being very demanding...which really crosses the line.
Anyone would acknowledge that the record for pennywise this baseball season has been phenomenal, and those that have been on the train since day 1 have picked up a lot of units. But as good as he is at what he does, what has been mounting in and out of the threads is sure to affect even the strongest willed and laid back people.
I know one guy said i don't know what the fuck i'm talking about, but if pennywise doesn't come back today, tomorrow, or the next day, or the day after, or this week even, then thats cool with me, because as much as his picks make money, we have to remember he's a human being and all this grief may have caused some upset. It's sad to think that all he did was share picks with us all and ended up getting either indirectly or directly a whole load of grief.
I hope pennywise does come back after any rest he deems necessary, as he's definitely a very valued member of the community here and liked and respected by many. There are a lot of good handicappers on the forum, it seems lately that pennywise due to the large following is attracting all the grief.
Whether I get called a know it all again, I don't really care, but it would awesome if we could all get along and lay off posters in losing times, as we are all here for the same reason, to beat the bookie, not be nasty to each other.
Have great evening all.
