Agreed. That was an extremely tough game to watch. Torturous. I was absolutely mortified to see Budd Norris pitch like the way he did in this game.
7 innings only giving up 4 hits and 1 earned run? Striking out 6? Cubs looked awful and impotent on offense. They made Norris look like an all-star. Unreal. :neenee:
Actually BOTH teams looked putrid on offense. How many men did the Cubs and Braves each LOB?
Chicago LOB = 2
Atlanta LOB = 11
Atlanta sucked hind tit in this category. We had plenty of chances, but squandered the scoring opportunities.
Anyway, time to start a new winning streak tomorrow!

As a special project, I'm also going to do an analysis of all your past threads. Whenever there's "bickering" in the thread, it seems the "bad juju" magically appears.
More likely than not, the play is subsequently doomed. I'm going to check each thread and look at the W-L record of plays where this strife pops up in the associated threads.
I'm willing to bet there are overwhelming more losses than wins. I'll come back to this thread with my findings. I just wish we all could just maintain positive vibes here as
we usually do and leave the distracting bickering/drama outside these threads.
