On another note, I got called a racist just last night ( not my firs time) but this is what I am talking about.

It was at a hotel I frequent and this obvious Asian Muslim works there yet goes by the name of "Cindy" Umm sure. So I asked the hotel why that lady even bothers with that bs as everyone knows her name isn't Cindy. She said that was racist for me to say that. Hahaha. Umm no, it's call obvious and being factually correct. Something else to be fake " offended" by

There were also studies that concluded cigarettes didn’t cause health concerns back in the day. I can tell you completely lack critical thinking skills. Surprising that a smart white guy like yourself doesn’t have that basic ability

Ridiculous argument.
So, anything you disagree with, you can just say "There were also studies that concluded cigarettes didn’t cause health concerns".
Talk about lack of critical thinking skills...

Huh? I referenced this because Seymour cited one study as proof of his statement. I’m merely pointing out that one study does not prove anything in terms of facts, which Seymour seems to think can occur. Seems like this relatively basic point flew over your head as well

No, actually, I am familiar with healthcare research and clinical trials.

So I am not going to fly to Rochester, MN, and warn a long time associate of mine at the Mayo Clinic that their clinical studies are not valid because "There were also studies that concluded cigarettes didn’t cause health concerns".

You seem to be pretty dense. Are you denying the fact that numerous studies and doctors stated that cigarettes caused no adverse health effects?

I am aware.
But that is not the issue, at all.
But you just do not get it.
Those studies cannot be used to discredit another study. Or, all studies.
Your logic is "inherently flawed".

My point is one study can’t be extrapolated as a “fact” by any measure
Nice to see all the internet racists on this board rounded up in one thread
Your families must be so proud

Actually, one study can be extrapolated as a fact, if it is executed with a solid, thorough, impeccable process. It happens all the time. The studies that we are discussing on this thread almost certainly are not in the category I describe.

The difference is the documented unbiased credibility of the institution doing the study, the purity of the scientific methodology used, the length and breadth of the data created, the depth of detail... etc.

I would guess the studies you cite that failed to identify tobacco / smoking to cancer were from biased sources, not valid with strict enough scientific methodology in place, etc. And I doubt the studies on race IQ, also, are 100% scientifically credible.

But your logic is flawed, to simply say that some >60 year old half ass studies are proof that another, newer, unrelated, study (that you disagree with for biased lefty political reasons) is invalid because unrelated others from the very distant past have been proven to be inaccurate.

Lmao, you think the IQ study cited previously isn’t some old-ass nonsense?

I have not examined it but yes I suspect it is not based upon the level of science required for a valid clinical study.
What I am saying to you is your approach to this debate is invalid.
Another way to look at it is, though life experience, the pro-tobacco studies definitely were not accurate and the IQ studies probably were.
Are you one of those people that say AA athletes are better at basketball because they are poor, hungry, inner city? That was a narrative for a long time, perpetuated by the lefty media and so called AA "leaders". I saw an AA "leader" literally scream out in an interview that if it was the other way around, whites would be good basketball players and AA's would be good at water polo. I think they finally let that idea slide... it was so ridiculous.

There are many studies that break down IQ by groups... race, sex etc.

1. The studies are pretty clear that AA have slightly less average IQ than Whiteys and Whiteys have slightly less average IQ than Asians.

3 points

1. It doesn't matter because any singular individual is going to have their own level of IQ. I might have higher IQ than the next Asian I see and lower than the next AA I see. We are individuals. Unique
2. While some studies link IQ to life and career success, it is more about how hard a person works that determines their life outcomes.
3. This again shows the problem of group identity as a course of defining social norms or laws. Freedom has to reside at the indicidual

I isolated this focused silly discussion towards scientific and medical criteria for valid, true clinical studies.

Sometimes a valid, scientific clinical trial is not needed.

A survey or experiment with a decent sample size actually will suffice for certain studies:

  • Throw a rock straight up, hits you in the head 10 times in a row = gravity!
  • Do it another 5 million times, in 50 different countries across the globe, ages 4-84, different weather conditions, men, women, AAs, whites, Asians, Muslims, hispanics... same result.

It has nothing to do with guilt. I despise the Democrat Party, with most blacks are members.

But I would never, ever say that one race is inferior to another race from birth - that is ugly racism that
needs to be called out and exposed as the vile, ugly stench that it is.

It's like everyone was a moron born before 1960 right? Back then, the common thought was "black are morons" Today, that is considered " ignorant"
