at ohio state we just give away shirts for tatoos and look what they did to us, does this mean PSU should get the rape penalty? i mean the death penalty....LoL
exactly if this was at ohio state it would make world news. This will get swept
under the rug just like Miami and Auburn did. Ohio State is like the Yankees everyone loves to hate us.

A yahoo report is suggesting when JoPa became aware of an allegation and immediately reported it to the AD, Curley. We can make a lot of assumptions from a single sentence as to what he knew and how he handled the situation. This slime ball Sandusky will rot in hell as he should. Suggesting JoPa did something wrong at this juncture is a stretch. If all we have is that single sentence to judge JoPa, then he used poor judgement in not reporting the allegation to the police. Whose to say exactly how he handled the situation? Let's let this story develop with more facts and then make a more educated judgement on the man.

As a PSU grad I am of course a huge fan of Joe Pa. If, somehow, the facts show he was protecting a friend by choosing to not go to the police... he has made a mistake of epic proportions and needs to suffer severe consequences. Whose to say though? I am sure a full investigation is under way and we will have more info to base any judgments on. The single sentence from yahoo in regards to Joe's knowledge can be spun any number of ways. If someone reported an incident to Joe and at that time it's an allegation... is it criminal to report it to the AD and not the police? That might be a major pt. of issue as we learn more in the coming days. I think its horrible judgement myself, but I don't know all the facts yet. At this time we don't have any information as to what Joe did after he reported the allegation to the AD. His actions after that point are what he may be judged on. I think Joe's character up to this point deserves the benefit of the doubt. After all the facts are laid out, we can make a more informed judgement on the man.

I always wondered whether this stuff happened, not only in college football but in other major college sports and even the pro sports. These men are held in such high esteem that people have a tendency to look the other way when they misbehave.

Sandusky was investigated by university police in 1998 after a mother reported to them that her 11-year-old son had showered with Sandusky. A university police detective and a municipal police detective later eavesdropped on a conversation between the mother and Sandusky in which Sandusky answered "I don't know ... maybe" when the mother asked him if he had touched her son inappropriately. He also admitted he had showered with the boy to an investigator with the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. The university police detective advised Sandusky not to shower with a child again, and Sandusky promised he would not. No charges were filed.

They all knew this low life was a molester back in 1998 and allowed him to continue on at Penn State with full campus privileges.. Then in 2002 he was caught red handed and all Paterno did was tell the AD.. How about calling the Police Joe?

When you say "they all knew"... how do you know what each person knew and how they acted upon any information they had? I am not excusing anyone for anything at this pt. but why wouldn't the PA Dept. of Welfare report this to the police? They aren't even related to the university and yet they didn't report it either? Doesn't make sense. All i am saying is that more info needs to be revealed as to who knew what and what they did, initially and in follow up.

As a Buckeye alum, everyone hates OSU, because idiots like you think everyone and everything is out to get OSU. Tressell knew about Tat gat and hid it because he knew there was a chance to play for the MNC with those 5 guys.

Miami, none of the coaches knew and there has never been anything saying that Chizk knew anything at Auburn. You are like every other Buckeye homer on Bucksnut or Scout. OSU is holier than thou. Nobody complained when I was on campus and Rick Dudley had a new SUV every year and Antoine Winfield was being paid by Lamont Smith before even was going to declare for the draft.

It isn't about OSU all day every day.

The Grand Jury testimony is out. You can find it online.. This guy is accused of doing shit way back in 1994. Their are at least like 8 people now coming forward saying he did shit to them.. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that where their is smoke their is fire. I mean this guy used to bring these kids on road trips to his hotel room. The bottom line is Paterno should have called the police instead of telling the AD..The guy wasnt even coaching in 2002..

Always liked PSU and grew up with news about their teams in Pennsylvania. Am sad about this for the violated children, and for the students and alumni at PSU. Pennsylvania is a great high school football state, but beyond that, PSU has always been among the best athletic departments across all NCAA sports, major minor and olympic. I'm an ACC fan and am sick about this. Hang in PSU. Many of us out here wish you the best. PS, frig OSU and all their criminal athletes and all their crazed wild out of their minds sideline head coaches.

wow! lighten up Francis!
At least Ohio State wasn't covering up sexual predators.
And how can you say noone at Miami didn't know what was going on.
What were you there. Call me an idiot. I never said Ohio State Never did anything wrong.
We deserve a punishment. But the Media goes way out of the way to get OSU.Sounds to me you should have gone somewhere
else than OSU.I'm an alum and proud of it.

Or maybe just because we are the Biggest University .
Let's see if Sports Ill has a big story about Penn State & Sandusky.
Let's see if Espn sues Penn St. for court the documents. You can
disagree all you want I at least won't throw a tantrum and start calling a
fellow alum childish names.

Haven't heard the name in a long time but when the news came out I remembered this Sandusky guy was a big name when Penn State was winning championships. It was a shocker, a big time heralded defensive line coach, it just doesn't seem to fit the mold.

This 'Second Mile' he founded was supposed to help disadvantaged children, but apparently it was a guise for him to gain access to children. It reminds me of a foundation my mother always gave money to
Phoenix House where the founder, a priest I forgot his name was almost assign by many to have the attributes of a saint until after many years he was found out to be a molester.

This Sandusky guy was Paterno's right hand man for many years and I guess it's hard to expose someone who you apparently shared so many great victories for so long, but its hard to believe Joe Pa was so dense not to get the vibes.
I imagine when it was obvious to JP that the cat was out of the bag JP did forward the info to his superiors at the campus. Unlike most here I don't think Paterno should be harshly treated it probably was an impossible situation he was put in.

John Zeigler, the paterno family and you are the only people left who think joe paterno was framed. Face it, the guy was a pedophile protector and would be in jail if he was still alive.

I Could spend weeks here just correcting the factual errors

From Johns site

"This site is also NOT remotely based on a conspiracy theory (the term "Framing" is meant figuratively, and not literally), but rather the notion that an incompetent, ratings-driven media, along with some self-serving politicians, all acted in their own perceived self interest to tell this story in a way not consistent with the facts, or even basic logic."

Oh, and here is one more on my team

"There is no better (or worse) example of this phenomenon than what happened recently with regard to CBS choosing to report interviews with the two lead prosecutors in the Sandusky case. After all, the man at the center of the case, Frank Fina, told Armen Keteyaian of CBS Sports that he was very sure that Joe Paterno was NOT part of a cover up and that there was no evidence to suggest that he was."

You need help. Paterno could have stopped a child rapist and didn't...his inactions got him justly fired and the guilt of his disgraceful behavior probably killed him. Normal people with a brain understand that joepa was an angry bully dictator for decades. His entire family felt psu was their personal home...which is why the wife still tried to use the facilities when joe was sent packing. Face it...the paternos got what they deserved for protecting a pedophile.
