Peer review (the final step of the scientific method - "communicate results") isn't worth the paper it's written on if the previous steps aren't followed, or if the process has become politicized and corrupted. Does Climategate ring a bell?

Yes, he literally is that dumb. He has absolutely no clue how science works these days. He acts like it's the 1800s where people are building little trinkets. There is no way around the peer review structure. It can always be enhanced but it will never go away. Talking about the scientific method as if it is not known amongst other scientists is hilarious. But these are the same guys that will reference a .com blog as scientific fact because someone says so. It's hilarious. Absolutely no connection to the real world. Anyone in the scientific community outside of certain industries knows that their research must go through academic peer reviewed journals.
