Since the Patriots are playing in the AFC Championship for the 8th consecutive year, "their unbelievable run of greatness is not over", it continues. Today they absolutely destroyed the Chargers in every phase of the game, they beat them only playing two quarters, they looked nothing like a team "playing poorly"

You can't win the SB, or even get to the SB, every year. Just because you don't get there doesn't mean your run is over. They did't get there after 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012,2013 and 2015 either, and none of those seasons were the end of their greatness. As a fan and as a program, being in the hunt is hard enough as evidenced by all the other teams that rise and fall, while the Patriots are still there.

Their run will end, but not while Belichick is around, especially with the GOAT at QB

I obviously disagree with the very premise of your argument.

Depends on what your definition of "run of greatness" is. I defined my position very clearly on multiple occasions in this thread. I don't think they return to a Super Bowl.

Great teams go to Super Bowls and win them. Great teams don't lose in the AFC championship game.

They played great today. That team today was night and day better than how they played down the stretch in the regular season. Will be interested to see if they can keep the momentum going into Arrowhead next weekend. Should be another fun KC/NE game. I see highs in the teens for Sunday in KC. Another cold one..

I don't doubt that you're a good bettor/know a lot the industry. But this was blind anti-Patriots bias. To paint the narrative that everyone had a chance except the Patriots was just laughable.

And now they're just one win against a young QB/chokey coach away from the Super Bowl again

This game was not as close as the 41-28 score. This was a beatdown

You've been dying for attention all day in here so I guess I will give you a little. One time.

It's obvious you haven't read the thread. If you did, you would know my stance and prediction. It was clarified that I do not believe that Tom and Bill will go to another Super Bowl together. If the Chiefs win next weekend, then my prediction stands up. For at least this season.

I'm not sure why you feel the need to come in here and puff your chest when I simply lost a bet on an NFL football game today. You are 0-3 in your last three NFL lock of the year threads recently. Someone might want to worry about their own wagers. If you even bet.

Diabler, it's hard times when the RxForums #1 Mush JC is running smak your way

So for the record you are 100% on Chiefs -3 unless Mahomes goes on a coke binge in the next few hours?

It really wasn't anti-Patriots bias. Ive given New England plenty of praise in this thread. Their dynasty is one of the greatest in the history of sports.

A little bit of fun with some trolling of the resident Pats fans? Of course. That would be much more accurate.

But despite the troll in good fun, my prediction of their run of greatness being over was sincere. And I'm stickin' to it.

The SheBar was startled when they showed NE Super Bowl banners and realized they had just two SB wins in past 14 years.

They deserve full credit for their two wins but twas a time when five conference title game losses in seven years would be jeered

Your prediction was already proven wrong. Even if they lose to the Chiefs, they made you look like a fool. They proved that their run isn't over. They don't have to make the Super Bowl every single season.

With that said, they probably are going to...again

This is just wrong. Go back and read the thread. You are acting like my prediction was something it's not.

I never said they wouldn't win a playoff game. And thats all they have done. Some of you guys are really reaching here..

You aren't worried Michel is just gonna run over that Chiefs run D and thus your dreams of a NE-free SB go up in flames?

NE has transformed into a ball control/power running game offense the last 2 months when it was apparent they didn't have the offensive weapons in the passing game they've had in past years (mainly Gronk's demise) and that is the Chiefs weakness on D.

Sure. It could happen. KC isn't exactly known for their great defense this season.

Ya, I think you realize you underestimated the heart of a champion (something Rudy Tomjonovich said not to do) but at this point you're all in, can't just capitulate and say holy shit, NE is the team.

I took the pats when they were 7-1 to win SB and 3rd or 4th choice on the board

Insane that people still doubt this team

Ive given NE a ton of credit for what they did today.

They are playing a great half of football at home right now.

Yes. New England is playing great

I'll take my lumps right now. Patriots looked amazing in the first half. There is really nothing more to say other than it appears I was completely wrong on my Chargers +4.5 bet.

Plans could change, but as of right now the wife and I will be staying in Laughlin on Saturday night. We have comped room nights there and free entry for two into a slot tournament. Sunday night I have booked at Caesar's Palace. So the plan is to head up to Vegas on Sunday morning. That's probably what we will do unless the wife or I are in danger of finishing high in the slot tournament. If that's the case, we will probably just stay in Laughlin on Sunday and ride that out since it's a two day slot tourney.
