Please don't get me wrong. When I initially asked to be proxyed I did it because I was aware of some juridical obstacles I would have found along my way.
I have overcome those obstacles thanks to the paperwork in place. Unfortunately I am not legally "recognized" as representative of players in general, but only for the ones that have given me proxy.
This does not mean I have not tried to take care of all other players. However I am unable to measure the outcome since I am not allowed to receive information pertaining players I do not represent.
Having said that I shall remark that I am much more optimistic now than I was when I first approached this situation.
Every player is free to act the way he or she believes in his or her best interest. However I trust you will convene that I may not be held responsible if players I do not represent are being treated differently than others. Ideally I wish this was not the case. Unfortunately it seems to be in some situations.

You knew Roberto was going down there, and you knew he was looking for proxies (you posted in at least one thread discussing same).
Why didn't you send him your proxy ? I think I know the answer, but I'll let you answer the question.

Your efforts and whoever else is behind the scenes helping are to be applauded.
And people wonder why no one else, namely Ken, didn't want to get involved in this mess. You just can't win dealing with issues like this. I commend Roberto and anyone who takes action, but it is quite clear that no matter how hard he works to make things happen there will always be someone not happy with it. That is just the way these messy book endings have always been and always will be. If one guy gets his money before the other guy, the guy that gets paid later blames someone else. I mean I don't blame anyone for being mad here, but I just point this out to all those that wondered why no one else flew down there or did anything beyond what was done. It truly is a no-win situation no matter who is involved.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

I understand where you're coming from - if you thought that Liz Rose (and in turn, the Gaming Commission) was "stating" that you would get a payout from BetPanAm, then I can partially see why you wouldn't have signed Roberto's proxy (you didn't want to jeopardize what you perceived to be a "sure thing" for a partial payment).
But to use a gambling term, the "Sharp" money seemed to be on signing the proxy over to Roberto. Especially if you realized that the only reason that you probably were getting any responses from Chester and Liz Rose, was because they knew that Roberto was coming to town the following week.
And while you may not fit into this group, there seem to be several people who were trying to back both horses in the race: they didn't want to jeopardize a presumed partial payment from BetPanam by signing Roberto's proxy, yet expected to reap full benefits from Roberto's efforts. Sometimes you need to look at all the info, and back the right horse.
But after all is said and done, it's important to remember that BetPanam is the bad guy here. They need to pay everyone.
