I knew my Arizona play was dead in the water...not after the Padres sent 76 guys to the plate in the bottom of the 6th, but when the Diamonbacks were up 2-1. That's right...I knew I was screwed when my team was ahead. Why? Because Arizona sent Dan Schlereth to the mound. He is, by far, the worst relief pitcher I have ever seen in my life. He killed me against the Dodgers earlier this week, and I knew he'd wipe me out tonight.
He gets called to the mound just to get one fucking out, but basically set the stage for the collapse in the 6th with a walk, a hit given up, and pegging a batter on the foot. I could find eight random guys on this forum who would touch him up for at least 15 runs in one inning.
