Matchups between teams with offenses as anemic as those of the Dodgers and Pads, particularly when a stud like Young is pitching, are unlike any other in baseball.
Every run here is equivalent to four in Cleveland. And what's as important as the score is the respective pitch counts. If you're a Dodgers fan, you're jumping for joy every time one of your own fouls one off or takes a close pitch because it brings you one incremental step closer to Young being out of the game. Pads pen is great, but Young is a superstar.
Conversely, if you're a Pads backer, you want to see Kuo's pitch count stay relatively LOW. LA's pen is much better than this 6.something ERA herky-jerky freak is. Longer he stays in, better chance the Pads have to strike.
