1) no, absolutely not. not over the long term
2) nah. ALMOST anything is possible with MTT's. I know a guy who is a below average player who won a Sunday Millions at Stars and took home like a quarter mil. But just for perspective, you'd have to do that 4 or 5 times to win a mil (more like 8 if you pay your taxes). Any idiot can bink one big tournament if they run like God. But not 10. I find a million extremely hard to believe.
Yeah but even the biggest casino or online tourneys (usually 1M gtd) only pay a quarter mil to first. You'd have to win many in succession, which would require powerball-type luck and/or an extremely high level of skill. Even pre-black friday.

Once again.....I have already said I'm not some great pro poker player. It was a short term thing that worked out. Gave some back and didn't wanna be one another get rich, go broke poker player. People need to know their limitations and maybe they would be more successful in life.

Tons of WPT events pay an M for first though. WSOP or other circuits slightly less than that. And that time period was the poker boom so there may have been some other small tournaments that paid more.
I'm not saying he did or didn't win, but plenty of subpar players binked live tourney wins in the 700k+ range during that time period.

If he wanted to make up a story of quick riches to sell on the internet then saying he binked a poker tourney in 2007 isn't that bad. You could come up with far more implausible scenarios.
