The ouija board has been around since the 1800s so parker brothers did not invent the ouija. They bought the rights to it in the 60s. 19.99 price? Well hell you can make a homemade one for free.
First mention of Ouija is 1100 BC
Parker Brothers has the trademark.

In my opinion if you believe that there is a god in heaven and a devil in hell why dont you believe that their could be spirits and demons on earth?

All religious texts are nutty as shit. You could replace "spirits and demons" with "unicorns and the female g-spot" and it would be the same argument.

Not discrediting any religion... just saying the stories in there would be laughed at if someone came up with that shit nowadays.

Its on days like these that I realize that we (mankind) are truly hopeless. There is no difference from the tribes that lived in Africa 10000 years ago and us. The only difference are

a) the way we dress
b) the nature of our 'talk to the demons' devices and of course, the specifics of the tales

Its no surprise at all that we have been (for the last 60 years) on the edge of blowing ourselves up with a bunch of nukes. I am just glad that uses the ouija had the power to launch the nukes (its always a risk you know, the message coming could be 'launch them now')

Only problem is that at any given point in the history of man......there is always someone 'listening to some voice' that has heard the message of 'kill the other guys'

Time to feed the dogs and have a beer, I should buy stock in that company that sells this 'witchcraft' device all over the US.......

May the force be with us ..........and don't give yourselves in.....to the power of the Dark Side

It's much easier for people to attribute supernatural explanations to things they don't understand rather than actually take the time to understand the science behind it.

Religion is a prime example.

There are tons and tons of things we don't understand. The problem is that when people don't understand things, they become satisfied with saying "it's magic". It's intellectually lazy and a complete cop out.

Yea i see what you mean but all im saying is if you believe in god and the devil you are very closed minded to not believe in demons. Now if you dont believe that there is a god than i see your point.

I used to mess around with it when i was younger and was just wondering if any of you had any experience's with it. Dont know why i started thinking about it again.

Don't pay any attention to those who post superstitious nonsense about my favorite board game

blah blah blah, the two atheists have chimed in.

I love the patronizing tone from the group that believes that
we all evolved from a pile of swamp goo.

"you see these was no life, but this swamp goo turned into a
living cell, which evolved into... a frog, and the next thing you
know we have humans..."

asinine

It's not so much the cost of the board and the paint.

It's the innocent blood of an infant that's needed to smear into the back of the board under a disguising layer of said paint.

Well they're usually countered by at least a couple other people from the group that believes we all evolved from the "dust of the earth" (dry swamp goo).

Good news is that inn the end, everyone Turns Out Okay.

So if we evolved from monkeys or whatever, Why aren't monkeys still evolving today? I mean we should be seeing them turn into cavemen.

In this particular discussion there is no difference between the ouija and the pile of goo

Both statements would have shortened your life.......if you happened to open your mouth about it....... in the 1700s...

For once...I wonder where are the witch hunters..........:lolBIG:

The real question is, how long until this thread ends up in the rubber
room or politics?
