If someone could help me here it would mean a lot to me.......

My son is into BMX bikes and has got new rims but we can't seem to get the tire on.......it all the way off on one side and 3/4 in on the other.

Only thing I can think of is to pry a screwdriver between tire and rim but I'm sure to scratch the paint.

Please respect the OT and help me help my son get this tire on his bicycle rim.

There's a plastic tool for that. They're called tire levers.

Put washcloths where you bite into the rim...won't scratch

O.k. I'm looking at the rim on the side where the tire more than 3/4 of the way on, it's out at 11oclock and one oclock..........where do i put the screwdrivers.....next to each other or opitsite side?

for fuksakes kgb, put one side of the tire inside the rim. take the fucking screwdriver and lean the other side of the tire inside the rim and then slide the screwdriver around the entire rim. havent you ever seen a tire get changed before? it wont scratch anything and if it does, it will be inside the rim where nobody can see it.
